Grace, peace and mercy to you. As we approach the close of 2022, expect but lean on God to finish well. One way is to check your relationships.

In life, different relationships impact us in different ways. As a person, especially a Christian, it matters who you are listening to, and who or what you're influenced by. The scriptures declare; ‘As iron sharpens iron, So one man sharpens the countenance of his or her friend or brother.’ Pro. 27:17.

Keep the right relationships. They can build or destroy you.

Then Eli answered and said, Go in peace: and the God of Israel grant thee thy petition that thou hast asked of him. 1 Samuel 1:17

Everyone has a need. A heavy heart needs a major assistance. The greatest assistance is Divine. A priestly voice of affirmation upon a petition is a Divine role given to God’s servants or ministers. It carries attorney-like right for a hearing and response. Hannah had it and her prayer was answered. I pray, as God’s servant, your petition be given hearing and response for Divine assistance in the name of Jesus Christ. God grant your petition!

But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work. John 5:17

Work is important. Hard-work is the highest and best tool to success. It has to be done wisely, not anyhow. Jesus did hard work, from carpentry to ministry. He wisely, carefully looked, learned and did exactly what His Father is doing. God’s way is the approved way. Every goal needs work. It must be hard work done wisely. Work hard but wisely!

And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves. Matthew 11:17

God is present everywhere, But chooses to dwell in places and people separated to His name, for His worship; like Heaven, believers’ life, buildings or specially preserved places. Jesus was angry when God’s dwelling was MISUSED - made a den of selfish, worldly and demonic practices. Let’s not MISUSE it. Surely, it pleases God to see you and I enter His dwelling, your heart, ‘Church’ or any separated place of worship, to seek Him in prayer. Let’s use His dwelling. We’ll find Him and find help. Seek God!

But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. Matthew 15:18

The mouth is a gateway. What enters or exists defines one’s state. Food enters and words exit it. Right eating makes healthy body. Right words makes healthy soul. Words are more important than food. By our words we are justified or condemned. Jesus was clear that a bad word comes from a bad heart, and a bad word discolours you, cutting off the right to honour and glory. Yes, we can speak good words and magnify possibilities. It happens if the heart is clean. I recommend a blood-washed heart, where Jesus is ALWAYS Lord!

Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened. Matthew 13:33

A leaven is powerful agent. It can subdue the smell, look and feel of a flour. It causes change. The Kingdom is for good change. The true Church is changed people. A Christian is a changed person. Don’t be changed by evil and worldliness. Firstly, Be changed by Christ. And, shine a good light to effect a change where you are and everywhere you go. You are God’s agent for positive change.

Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant. Proverbs 9:17

Yes it’s yesterday’s verse explained after the thoughts you shared.
This verse means whatever you steal, unjustly acquire and cheat or rob others to get feel sweet because man loves subtlety and deceptive smartness. Again, when you do wicked, sinful or bad acts in secret it pleases your flesh and sounds good and safe to you because no one was there.
But in both cases, the end is open shame and misery and destruction. God sees everything, anytime, everywhere and rewards all. So, strive to be Christ-like always for a better reward.

But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works. Psalms 83:28. (Read the whole chapter).

Freedom to think, choose, do and say anything doesn’t mean God is not real or relevant. David said he was foolish, ignorant, animalistic and almost backslidden in envying the foolish and wicked. He misunderstood life. He turned to God, understood and changed. It is good to Draw near to God!
