" I love you Lord "
Christians love to use this phrase "I love you Lord "
I've heard this several times and wonder if we truly love God. To some people singing songs of praises and feeling good after church service means to love God. Some even go to the extent of saying " take my life Lord, it's all yours" and I wonder again if we need God's life or He needs ours.
Ahh well, maybe that's what they know or they've been taught.
But wait, listen to what Jesus said
John 21:17
[17]He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
Take note: feed my sheep.
To love God means you have passion for souls, not willing that any should perish but be saved.
You refuse to evangelize, you have any won a soul for Christ but you claim you love God.
Jesus said in
Matthew 28:19
[19]Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Teach all nations, that's our call, our mandate and our responsibility as believers not just feeling good after a good song claiming you love God.
If you love God then please do his will, preach the message everywhere you find yourself and that alone will God be happy with us.
Stay blessed.
