🦟 *25 April – World Malaria Day*

💚 Good news: ending malaria is now within reach

💪🏾 Thanks to science and innovation, we have new tools like vaccines, better mosquito nets, and improved treatments.

*Since 2000:*

✔️ 2.3 billion cases prevented
✔️ 14 million lives saved
✔️ 47 countries malaria-free

👶 Today, 10 million children a year are protected by malaria vaccines, and 84% of new nets are more effective than ever.

*But the fight isn’t over:*

⚠️ 282 million cases and 610,000 deaths still occurred in 2024
⚠️ Funding gaps and resistance to drugs and insecticides threaten progress

*What can you do?*

✅ Sleep under a mosquito net
✅ Seek care early for fever
✅ Support malaria prevention efforts

✨ *Now we can. Now we must.* A malaria-free future is possible if we act together.

What You Didn’t Know About Cucumber 🥒

That quiet, green, unassuming vegetable in your salad is not just there for decoration. Cucumber is a small miracle wearing a watery suit.

First things first—cucumber is about 95% water. Translation? It hydrates you from the inside out. On days when your water bottle is playing hide-and-seek, cucumber steps in like a loyal friend and says, “I got you.”😉😉

Nutritionally, cucumber may look humble, but it carries quiet power. It contains vitamin C for immunity, vitamin K for blood clotting and bone health, and small but important amounts of potassium and magnesium that support heart function and muscle health. It’s also rich in antioxidants, which help fight inflammation and protect your cells from damage.

Trying to watch your weight? Cucumber is your best gossip-free companion. It’s low in calories, low in carbs, and high in fiber, helping you feel full without adding unnecessary calories. You can eat plenty and still sleep peacefully—no food guilt, no midnight regret.

Cucumber also supports digestion and gut health. The fiber and water combination keeps things moving smoothly (yes, we’re talking about bowel movement—health talk is not shy). Your digestive system likes consistency, and cucumber delivers just that.

And let’s not forget the skin. Eating cucumber regularly can help improve skin hydration, elasticity, and glow. Beauty really does start from the inside, not just from expensive creams.

Bottom line? Cucumber is affordable, refreshing, versatile, and quietly powerful. Slice it, chew it, blend it, or snack on it between meals. Your body will thank you in whispers now—and in strength later.

Sometimes the loudest health benefits come from the quietest foods. 🥒✨

TRUTH ABOUT SLEEP & YOUR HEALTH

Sleep is not a luxury, but a biological necessity, just like oxygen and water. It’s funny how people treat it like bonus time they can sacrifice out of their hustle. But remember the saying “You can never cheat nature”
Let’s look at the practical, science-backed benefits of sleep;

⭐ 1. Sleep sharpens your brain

When you sleep well:
• Your brain files memories properly
• Your concentration improves
• Decision-making becomes faster
• Stress responses lower

⭐ 2. It repairs your body

During deep sleep:
• Muscles repair
• Tissues rebuild
• Hormones balance themselves
• Your immune system strengthens

That’s why after good sleep, your body feels like “factory reset.”
But when you don’t sleep… even small stress feels like world is coming to an end.

⭐ 3. Sleep controls your weight

When you lack sleep:
• Your hunger hormones misbehave
• You crave junk food
• Your metabolism slows down

⭐ 4. Good sleep protects your heart

Your heart needs downtime.
Poor sleep affects:
• Blood pressure
• Blood sugar
• Inflammation

Over time, lack of sleep becomes a quiet risk for hypertension, heart disease, and diabetes.
Remember your body can hustle, but your heart cannot.

⭐ 5. Sleep boosts your mental health

You can gym.
You can drink smoothies.
You can meditate.
But if you’re sleeping 3 hours a night, your mood will still not be stable.

Good sleep:
• Reduces anxiety
• Improves emotional stability
• Lowers irritability
• Reduces depression risk

Sleep is the cheapest therapy that no appointment is required.

⭐ 6. Sleep strengthens your immune system

Your immune system fights infections better when you sleep well.
If you notice you get sick easily, catch colds often, or feel fatigued, your sleep routine might be the reason.

Always remember that you will never be done. But your body will be done if you don’t sleep and sleeping is not wasted time because a well-rested person:
• Thinks better
• Feels better
• Works better
• Lives longer
