*PRAYING THROUGH TEMPTATION*

Tuesday, 10th June 2025

*Scripture Reading:*
Luke 22:40

> _On reaching the place, he said to them, 'Pray that you will not fall into temptation. Luke 22:40_

Jesus instructed his disciples to pray that they wouldn't fall into temptation because He knew the challenges ahead. Without prayer, Satan will try to find a way into your life, affecting your family, business, finances, and more. My friend, Jesus didn't say to rely on rituals or symbols, but to pray. Prayer is our powerful tool against temptation. In a world full of temptations, praying is the key to overcoming them. Let's learn from Jesus' words today: pray that you won't fall into temptation.

Let's Reflect on Three Key Points
1. *Recognizing the Danger of Temptation*
"Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour." (1 Peter 5:8)
We must be aware of the temptations we face daily.

2. *Seeking God's Strengths*
"I can do all this through him who gives me strength." (Philippians 4:13)
We can overcome temptation by relying on God's strength and guidance.

3. *Staying Vigilant*
"Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak." (Matthew 26:41)
We must remain alert and focused on God's plan to avoid falling into temptation.

This verse emphasizes the importance of focus and perseverance in our spiritual journey.

_Let's Reflect on Three Key Points_

1. *_Letting Go of the Past_:* "Forgetting what lies behind" (Philippians 3:13). We must release past mistakes, regrets, and failures to move forward.
2. *_Focusing on the Future_:* "Straining toward what is ahead" (Philippians 3:13). Our eyes should be fixed on God's plan and promise for our lives.
3. *_Pressing On_:* "I press on toward the goal" (Philippians 3:14). Perseverance and determination are key to achieving spiritual growth and maturity.
