“Better a patient person than a warrior, one with self-control than one who takes a city.”(Proverbs 16:32)

Self-control has to do with our ability to control our impulses, attitudes, behaviors and emotions. And it has everything to do with patience.

Unfortunately it is very easy and common for us to get stressed and lose patience with the people around us, doesn’t matter if they are relatives, friends or even people we do not know. In my point of view, this happens because of the selfishness that exists within us.
We always tend to think about ourselves before we think about other people. This is something of our nature and, consequently, we started to want everything to happen when and the way we want. Consequently, we tend to react in the wrong way to situations that are not as we wish. But that’s not how things are supposed to work, right?
