"Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God which he hath given thee."(KJV)

*PRINCIPLES OF FREEWILL OFFERING*
Free will offering does not mean there are no principles attached. This is where many New Testament Christians miss. Some say my Freewill offering is something I want to give to my God, and I decide how much or how big or small I give. Sometimes, when an amount is mentioned during the giving time for those who can offer to God to do so during church service, many people have bad feelings about it.

Even though it's a freewill offering, there are principles attached. According to our main text, when you are bringing your freewill offering, you must give what you can. What you are going to give must reflect the blessings that the Lord God has blessed you with. For instance, if your blessings amount to ten thousand cedis, dollars, naira, euros, or whatever, give freely according to those blessings.

If your blessings are less, give according to that. If your blessings are bigger than that, give accordingly. You can not give anything because that is what you want to give. Your giving must express your gratitude towards your God for His blessings upon your life. Freewill offering is like throwing money at God because of how He has blessed you.

*PRAYER*
Lord God, help me to express my gratitude in my freewill offering in Jesus' name. Amen

To avoid taking a man of God for granted, remember to appreciate his service, acknowledge his influence, and recognize that his presence is a gift.

Instead of focusing on what you might perceive as shortcomings, focus on the positive impact he has on your life and the lives of others. Remember that God allows people into your life for a reason, whether to teach, comfort, or encourage.
