VOICE OF THE LORD EVANGELICAL CHURCH (VOLEC), Amanfro District climaxed their 2026 Easter Convention at Onyamebekyere Durbar Ground in the Okere District.

The District Pastor, Samuel Young Appiah, delivered a sermon entitled "This Jesus Who Was Crucified."

Referring to 1 Corinthians 15:1-6 and Isaiah 53:4-5, he proclaimed that Jesus, a central figure in Christian belief who endured the excruciating punishment of crucifixion, selflessly bore the sins, pain, grief and the burden of humanity's guilt upon the rugged cross in order to pave the way for forgiveness and redemption.

The Odikro of Onyamebekyere, Nana Baffour Ahunu, along with his elders, also participated in this special service organized by VOLEC. In a concise address, Nana Baffour Ahunu conveyed his gratitude to the church for bringing the Gospel of hope to Onyamebekyere. He concluded by encouraging the youth in the church to persist in their commendable efforts for the Lord.

It was all about JESUS.

The Power of God was manifested during the day 2 of the Easter Convention held at Onyamebekyere (Okere) in the Eastern Region of Ghana by VOICE OF THE LORD EVANGELICAL CHURCH, Amanfro District.

The District women's leader Deaconess Mercy Owusu delivered a Holy Spirit filled sermon titled " I am the resurrection and the life..." extracted from John 11:25.

District Pastor Emmanuel Atinoto (Rtd.) led the congregation into a time of prayer.

It was all about the resurrection power of Christ Jesus.

A beautiful and well-attended retirement service was held in honour of District Pastor Emmanuel K. Atinoto at Akuapem Amanfro Assembly of VOICE OF THE LORD EVANGELICAL CHURCH on Sunday 29th March, 2026.

The retiree, who had rendered 32 years of faithful service as a full-time minister was celebrated and appreciated for his invaluable contributions to the work of God and the growth of the Church.

The retirement service was officiated by Apostle Eric Kwabena Appiah, General Secretary of the Church.
The Communication Director of the church, Apostle S. K. Oppong,
the Koforidua Area Head Apostle Alfred Addo, Dist. Ps. Collins Asante-Boadu (Evangelism Director), Dist. Ps. Johnson Kyereh (Ministerial Council Chairman) together with other ministers also graced the occasion to the glory of God.

Nana Awuku Asare, Akuapem Nsutam Odikro together with the Mmbaa Hemaa of Nsutam were also present.

Mr. Peter Abokyi (former Lecturer University of Cape Coast), Prof. Novidzro Kossi Maweina (Lecturer at University of Lome), Dr. (Med) Nore Atinoto, on behalf of the Atinoto family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the leadership of the church for organizing such a colourful and well attended retirement service for their son Dist. Ps. Emmanuel K. Atinoto.
