The Day of Arafah is one of the most sacred days in Islam. It falls on the 9th day of Dhul Hijjah, the day before Eid al-Adha.

Why it is important.?!
It is the day when pilgrims performing Hajj gather at the plain of Mount Arafat for the central rite of Hajj.
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
“Hajj is Arafah.”
It is a day of mercy, forgiveness, and answered prayers.
Allah perfected the religion on this day, as mentioned in the Qur’an (Surah Al-Ma’idah 5:3).
Fasting on the Day of Arafah:
For those not performing Hajj, fasting this day is highly recommended.
The Prophet ﷺ said that fasting on Arafah:
“Expiates the sins of the previous year and the coming year.”
Best acts of worship on this day:
•Fasting
•Making du‘a (supplication)
•Dhikr (remembering Allah)
•Seeking forgiveness
•Sending salawat upon the Prophet ﷺ
•Reading Qur’an
•Giving charity
One of the best du‘as to say is:
“Lā ilāha illallāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamdu wa huwa ‘alā kulli shay’in qadīr.”
A famous du‘a for Arafah
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“The best supplication is the supplication on the Day of Arafah.”
When it occurs:
The Day of Arafah changes each year according to the Islamic lunar calendar. It is observed on the 9th of Dhul Hijjah, immediately before Eid al-Adha.
