God Our Rock

SCRIPTURE
Psalm 18:2 KJV
[2] The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

REFLECTION
David declared, “The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer” (Psalm 18:2). God is dependable, unchanging, and protective.
Like David, we can run to God in difficult seasons, knowing He is our fortress and strength. Our response should be filled with praise for His faithfulness.

PRAYER
My Source of Strength
God, thank You for being my safe place. You're here for me no matter what I face, and I’m grateful I can always take refuge in You. Today, help me to come before You humbly and honestly—with complete faith. Give me the courage to surrender my concerns, and to trust You with the results. I invite You to be my source of strength in every area of life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A Prayer for Fighting Worry
God, I don't want to worry, but sometimes it seems unavoidable. Will You help me to let go of the things I can't control? Teach me to turn my worries into worship. Fill my thoughts with Your peace. I give every anxious thought to You! Today, show me opportunities to serve You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The Power of Words

Psalm 46:1 KJV
[1] God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.

REFLECTION
Words shape lives—they can build up or tear down. Scripture reminds us: “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1).
What we declare guides our actions. Choose words of life, rooted in God’s promises, and let your tongue be an instrument of blessing.

PRAYER
God, I want to believe Your promises—that You are my refuge and strength. Help me to believe it. Help my trust in You translate into actions. You know what I'm up against. And yet, I know that I can face all things with You. When I am weak, You are strong. When I am unsure, You are steady. When I am afraid, You give me courage. Thank You! Amen.

PRAYER
A Prayer to Love Others
Our Father, forgive us for the way we prioritize being right over being loving. Help us to imitate Jesus, who taught us to love one another as he loved us. May we seek unity and walk in love. Amen.

TOPIC
From Death to Life

SCRIPTURE
Romans 6:5 KJV
[5] For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

REFLECTION
Through Jesus’ sacrifice, we move from death to life. Unlike Lazarus’ temporary resurrection, Jesus’ victory is eternal.
By His grace, our eternity is secure—we can live with joy, hope, and share His good news with others.

PRAYER
A Prayer for Grief
God, You made it possible for me to go from death to life, and to spend forever with You! I can't fully comprehend or express how amazing that is. I don't deserve this kind of unconditional love, but I'm grateful for it and overwhelmed by it. Thank You that this story isn't over, and You will have the final victory over sin and death. Amen!

Learning to Live Humbly

REFLECTION
The gospel reminds us we’re all equal—it’s only by grace that we are saved. Paul urges believers to be humble, gentle, and patient, helping one another grow.
Following Jesus means showing dignity, love, and kindness to everyone—living with humility and grace each day.

PRAYER
A Prayer for Love
God, Your Word inspires me to be humble and gentle; to lead with patience and unconditional love. But I can't live that way without Your help. Please teach me how to extend grace and forgiveness to those around me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
