EXCERPTS OF THE JUST ENDED YOUTH AND STUDENT'S WEEK CELEBRATION, DAY 4 (Thursday, 10th March, 2022)

PROGRAM: INVESTMENT AND MANAGEMENT FOR A BETTER FUTURE WITH MR. BRIGHT ADDOM (Supervisor, St Joseph's School Complex, Hohoe Branch)

It is God's will to prosper in all aspect. Money comes to those who plan for it.

Matt. 6:25 6: 34; God said we shouldn't get worry about tomorrow but did not say not to plan for tomorrow. Therefore, before you do everything in life you need to plan (Luke 14:28).
Those who fail to plan, plan to fail.

INVESTMENT:
Putting time, effort and money into something for future use.
Which means, investment is beyond just money.

CATEGORIES OF INVESTMENT.

1. KINGDOM INVESTMENT:
(Luke 19:11-27): As Christian Youth, we have various talent which the Lords wants us to invest in His Kingdom work. Some have multi talents and its because they don't hide it but use it for the glory of God.
As youth, we should invest our talent and time to win souls, worship him and make his work progressive. We will not blossom in Christ if we do not do so, God will take the little from us.

2. TIME INVESTMENT: Time investment is very important. Time is meant to be invested, it is meant to acquire knowledge and skills which becomes the power that turns to become money, hence the saying "time is money".
Learn from past and present experiences. As youth we need to invest our time in educating ourselves by reading, acquiring new skills and developing our God given talents.
How big is your power to make money?
Are u investing ya time wisely?

3. FINANCIAL/MONEY INVESTMENT:
Without kingdom and Time Investment, we cannot do well at investing money. Investing money is very risky but beneficial. The higher the risk the higher the investment.

EXCERPTS FROM THE JUST ENDED YOUTH AND STUDENT'S WEEK CELEBRATION DAY 2 (Tuesday, 9th March, 2022)

PROGRAM: REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH AND ITS DANGERS with Dr. Emmanuel Manu (Researcher/Lecturer, University of Health and Allied Sciences, Hohoe Campus)

Reproductive Health / Diseases that affect the reproductive system

1.ENDOMETRIOSIS
It is a condition where the womb/uterus lacks endometrium or the endometrium grows outside the uterus.

Endometrium
A thin, soft wall layering the womb.

Symptoms:
Heavy and prolonged bleeding, painful menstruation.
Another issue that prevents women from having children or heavy menstrual flow is hormonal imbalance.

2. FIBROIDS
They develop in the endometrium. It is very common among blacks. Delayed child bearing may cause fibroids. Fibroids can be corrected through medication or be removed through surgery.

3. CANCERS - Abnormal growth of cells.

Types of cancers in the reproductive system
i. Ovarian cyst/cancer
ii. Uterine cancer
iii. Cervical cancer (when the cervix is weak and loose) Cervical cancer is caused by consistent and prolonged infection or excessive s*x.
iv. Testicular cancer (caused by continuous gonorrhoea infection).

4. HIV
Can be prevented within 72 hours of infection through prophylaxis thus, take antiretroviral drugs for 28 days.

EXPOSITION ON THE YOUTH THEME:
THE YOUTH IN THE LIGHT OF CHRIST PART ONE.

BY REV. EMMANUEL AWULEY (Minister In Charge of the Methodist Church of Ghana, Bethel Society, Hohoe)

INTRODUCTION
Light is an electronic magnetic radiation that can be detected by the human eye. Light by all intent and purposes cannot be hidden and no matter its size, always remains domineering.

If this assessment is true, then the youth in Christ is also expected to expose his or her Christ-like characteristics

BACKGROUND OF THE LIGHT OF CHIRST
God had to deal with one particular problem from the beginning of creation, Darkness! we are told from the creation account that God created the heavens and the earth.
The heavens radiate the light of God as He Himself is the light (nothing bad was said about heaven after it and earth was created).
The earth was full of darkness (Gen. 1:2) the verses 3-4 fit into our topic (God called for the light in Christ and the radiation in Christ through the Holy Spirit, put everything in order to make the earth look exactly like heaven).

THE EFFECTS OF THE LIGHT
1. Because of the domineering nature of light, it takes over whatever is under the rulership of darkness.

2. John 1:4-5, “In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.”

3. Where is the youth today? As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. - John 9:5. Your location and action depicts what is in your inner man.

4. Light either attracts or expose, and this character must be found in the youth who so desire to be like Christ in all his or her dealings.

5. Attracts Good and Bad deeds: the serious nature of light is just as the net that is cast in the sea. When you are drawing it, the net catches everything that crosses its path.
