THE CHURCH OF PENTECOST – ELMINA AREA
2025 NATIONAL YOUTH WEEK CELEBRATION
“GO AND TELL” ZONAL YOUTH JOINT SERVICE
Date: Wednesday, 22nd October 2025
Venue: Komenda Central Auditorium
As part of the 2025 National Youth Week Celebration, the Zonal Youth Ministry of the Elmina Area of The Church of Pentecost held a powerful “Go and Tell” Zonal Joint Service, which also featured an Apostolic Visitation.
The service was marked by an impactful ministration of the Word by Pastor Pascal Asiedu, a member of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Youth Ministry and Resident Minister of PIWC Westhills. He spoke under the theme:
“Arise, Shine, and Fulfil Your Ministry” (Colossians 4:17–18; Isaiah 60:1–2).
In his sermon, Pastor Asiedu emphasized that one of the greatest gifts given to mankind is Jesus Christ Himself. He explained that Jesus, as God’s ultimate gift to humanity, has always brought transformation to the lives of men — and continues to do so today.
Drawing lessons from the life of Archippus, Pastor Asiedu highlighted that when Archippus encountered Christ, his life was transformed, compelling Apostle Paul to admonish him through his letter to the Colossians to “see to it that you fulfil the ministry you have received in the Lord.”
From the passage, Pastor Asiedu established three key points:
1. Every ministry we have received as youth is from the Lord.
Therefore, our focus must remain on Him alone, drawing strength from His empowerment. Since the call is divine, nothing should cause us to drift away from it.
2. The ministry we have received can only be fulfilled in the Lord.
He urged the youth to learn from our fathers in the Lord, walking in the doctrines and values of the Church as they align with God’s Word.
3. The ministry we have received must be completed.
Every believer must arise and shine, staying committed until the divine assignment is fulfilled.
The service was graced by several ministers and their spouses, including:
Apostle Lawrence Oduro Nyarkoh – Elmina Area Head
Pastor Pascal & Mrs. Asiedu – PIWC Westhills
Pastor Daniel Matey Tetteh – Elmina Area Youth Pastor & Resident Minister, SNNIT Flats
Pastor Benjamin Asare – Campus Pastor, UCC
Pastor Joseph Yaw & Mrs. Leticia Ntiamoah – Komenda District
Pastor Samuel Obeng & Mrs. Jemima Ansong
Pastor Benjamin Alinia – Dominase District
The joint service recorded an impressive attendance of 428 youth members and leaders from the Komenda, Kissi, Dominase, and Ebukrom Districts, who were all empowered and inspired to Arise, Shine, and Fulfil their ministry in the Lord.
Yours in His Service,
Nanakwabena Awortwe [Elder]
