THE OIL WILL LOCATE YOU

1Samuel 16:12
And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and had beautiful eyes, and was handsome. And the LORD said, "Arise, anoint him; for this is he."

The oil is on assignment. Samuel, God's prophet is carrying the jar of oil and has entered Bethlehem.

Everyone is wondering if he comes peaceably.

He asks the household of Jesse to be consecrated but sadly one is left out.

But little did they know though left out, the oil was going to find him out. Halleluya.

And I came with a word for somebody that God's oil is about to locate you.

In this context, I see three kinds of oil that located David which are about to be poured on you.

The first is the oil of ovation. The oil of ovation is the divine applause from Heaven that influences men to show positive enthusiasm towards you.

Beloved, men are so busy minding their own business but when the oil of ovation locates you, you awe and catch men's attention and they show positive enthusiasm towards you.

The second oil was the oil of distinction. The oil of distinction is what makes ordinary men extraordinary. It is what makes simple men mighty and it is what draws the lines for the path of excellence. May the Lord pour that oil upon us right now.

Finally, David was located with the oil of ordination. It is the oil that appoints and makes kings. It is the oil that enthrones and sets men on higher pedestals. No wonder once he appeared God commanded Samuel to arise.

This is because the presence of the oil of ordination is the presence of honour and glory.

God is speaking prophetically to somebody this morning that three kinds of oil are being poured on your head: Ovation, Distinction and Ordination.

How can you remain the same after such an encounter like this? Step out and flow in this God-given grace.

Oil, oil, oil......let oil come.
