Sometimes one wonders whether God really cares or is concerned about the unfortunate things that happen to us
This is because of the long waits we put him through for certain things.
And the accidents, disappointments, diseases, bereavements, failures, and disasters that befall us.
Today’s message from Exodus 23:25-26 focuses on the question
Does God really care?

In our daily lives, we look up to the presence of God because He has promised to be with us in our life journeys. Today, we are going to look at how God promised to be with the Israelites in the wilderness and kept that promise. So, any time we find ourselves in the wilderness of life, our only hope should be God's promise to be with us. Let's journey in today's study as we delve into Exodus 23:20-23. God bless you as you worship with us.

The Third Festival is the feast of ingathering, which is at the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labours out of the field; this is the third feast in the year to be kept, and was kept at the close of the year, when a new year began. This is the same feast as the feast of tabernacles, but here called the feast of ingathering, because
At this time of the year, all the fruits of the earth were gathered in; the corn, w**e, oil, and all other fruits, on account of which there was great rejoicing and celebration of the provision of the Lord.

The Israelites, as they entered the promised land, were commanded to celebrate three festivals.
The Festival of Unleavened Bread, the Passover, the Harvest Festival or Pentecost and the Festival of Ingathering or Tabernacles or Tents.
Three major harvest seasons are identified in Deuteronomy 16: 16. ‘Three times a year all your males shall appear before the Lord your God in the place he chooses: at the Feast of Unleavened Bread, at the Feast of Weeks, at the Feast of Tabernacles, and they shall not appear before the Lord empty-handed. The entire family generally observes God's festivals, including women and children (Nehemiah 8:1-12).
We have already dealt with the festival of Unleavened Bread.
We turn our attention to the second festival, which is the Harvest festival, also called Pentecost.
This is the second feast, the feast of wheat harvest, between which and barley harvest were fifty days; or between the first fruits of the one and the first fruits of the other were seven weeks.
Or Festival of Weeks. This was later called the Festival of Pentecost (see Acts 2:1)
at which feast were to be brought:
The first fruits of thy labours, which thou hast sown in the field; the two wave loaves or cakes, made of the first new wheat, which was the effect of their labour in tilling the field, and sowing it with wheat, and reaping it.

Festivals are periods of celebration, remembrance, and renewal of relationships with people with a common history.
Most communities have established festivals to maintain their heritage and history, and to remember their origins.
The essence of festivals in Ancient Israel was worship, remembrance, and community building, serving as divinely instituted "appointed times" to celebrate God's deliverance, remember His provision, and strengthen the covenant relationship between God and His people.
As they walked with God during the Exodus period, the Israelites established the landmarks of their journey through the observance of certain mandated festivals to be continued from generation to generation.

Rest is defined in the Oxford Dictionary as a period during which work or movement ceases, allowing relaxation, sleep, or recovery of strength.
Every human being should have the concept of rest for himself, his servants and workers, his land, and the machines or equipment we use. For example, if you continually use your photocopier or printer, it might stop working.
For humans, there are periods called Work Time and Free Time. We work to live, we don’t live to work.
The Lord established the Sabbath for the Israelites to teach the importance of rest and drive this point home.
God didn’t make the Sabbath for his benefit. He made it for yours: “The Sabbath was made to benefit man, and not man to benefit the Sabbath” (Mark 2:27 TLB). God created the Sabbath so you wouldn’t get burnt out.
But many people ignore their need for rest. When you ignore God’s laws, who gets hurt? Not God. Ignoring your need for rest only leaves you exhausted and overwhelmed.
Taking a rest may be particularly difficult if you’re an entrepreneur, self-employed, or work remotely. If you don’t schedule a Sabbath for yourself, you’ll never take a break.
No matter your work situation, when you have an off day or leave period, it doesn’t matter what day of the week you take your rest or what time of the year you take your leave. You must take time off and step away from work. Fatigue will certainly set in. Just as you schedule everything else in your week, month, or year, you need to plan your rest during your free time.

The issue of bribery is simply dishonest gift or incentive aimed at inducement or motivation, or persuasion to obtain things unlawfully or illegally. Basically there is a thin line between a gift and a bribe.
A bribe is when you know the truth but, because of what you gain, you choose to lie.
It’s selling your conscience for money. Trading your dignity shamelessly by demanding or expecting payments in cash or in kind before you do the job that you are paid for to assist a vulnerable or desperate client or customer.
Or acceptance of cash or kind from a corrupt individual sometimes to give what he or she is not due to get under normal circumstances.

Exodus 23: 8 talks about the effects of Bribe on a Godly Person

The simple definition of an enemy is ‘not a friend’
Someone who sets themself to oppose, dislike, and destroy you in various ways. It could be direct or indirect. The most dangerous enemies are those who act like friends, but they are destroying you secretly.
In the typical situation, we tend to pray against our enemies.
But what is this text (Exodus 23:4-7) telling us about how we should relate to our enemies?

As believers, we are instructed to avoid spreading false reports. Sometimes we pass on information about people through wicked people who are set on destroying others' character, businesses, and marriages.
In the same vein, the Bible condemns the spreading of lies and the support of those who are clearly in the wrong. And it is wrong to be a part of such gross injustice and misrepresentation of others that ends in the assassination of their characters. We undoubtedly face the consequences of such actions, and we should not think we shall get away with it because God forbids such attitudes.
Again, God cautions us against conforming to popular opinion when it contradicts what is right and just. We shouldn't forget that Satan is the crafter and agent of lies, so the moment we yield to wicked lies to convict an innocent person or to destroy the character of a man or woman, we are participating in the kingdom of darkness and not of light.
Let's remember that we are called to be honest, impartial, and courageous in upholding truth and justice in all situations, including legal matters.
Our text is from Exodus 23:1-3. God bless you as you continue to abide by His word.

There are people these days who do not respect or give reverence to anyone just because of their positions or possessions.
But it seems honor is a necessary virtue for humankind, especially when we have to recognize that there are divine beings higher than ourselves, as well as authorities that are set over us.
There is also a relationship between honor and holiness. God, who is divine and holy, expects us to see him as holy to give him the due honor due him.
How did Jesus attain honor?
It is by setting himself apart and sacrificing himself in honor of God through Holiness and sacrifice for us. So we honor the Holy and sacrifice ourselves also to be Holy .
