THE SUPERIORITY OF JESUS IN THE QURAN
Was Jesus (really) like Adam?
Our Muslim friends want us to believe that our Jesus is nothing more than a created being just like Adam. Why? Because the Qur'an said so!!
In Q3:59 we read that the similitude of Jesus is that like Adam, Allah created both of them from Mud, then he says "Be" and they became.
The only problem is that nowhere in the Quran does the announcement of the miraculous virgin birth of Jesus do we ever read of any activities involving mud, nor any command "to be" in order that Jesus was to be formed and made in the likeness of Adam.
To the contrary, the Qur'anic story of the birth of Jesus is a step above all other creation stories. For instance, the Quran in more than one occasion declares that the birth of Jesus was so unique in that:
- Allah himself announces the coming of Jesus through his own Spirit as a man - (Q19:17-19).
- Allah himself breathed into Mary's private parts of his own spirit (Q21:19, 66:12)
- Allah stated that Jesus was a sign and a mercy
- Allah declared Jesus to be "sinless"
- Allah calls Jesus to be a spirit preceding from Allah, and word of Allah.
Yet, when it came to the creation of Adam, we read of different activities involved in the creation act, such as the use of the phrase "...when I have made him and breathed into him of my spirit" (Q15:29) or "...whom I have created with my own hands" (Q38:75) Oddly enough, no such activities involving the use of hand or forming from mud are mentioned of the birth and coming of Jesus through Mary...
Given that Jesus is the Messiah (chosen one), the Word of Allah and Spirit of Allah (Q 4:171) all such honorifics makes him, even according to the Quran, to be divine and preexistence before his coming into earth through may by the agency of Allah himself who lowered himself all the way down to earth to cast Jesus into Mary, something he hasn't done with any other person in the Qur'an including Muhammad! This leaves only one conclusion is to stop following Muhammad and his new religion but study the prophets to clear all your doubts as Quran itself prescribes (Q 10:94)
Jesus openly claimed to be God. The apostles also described him as divine.Yes, Jesus claimed to have divine attributes or names that are also the divine names of Al-Lah. If you deny these attributes as divine you deny Al-Lah and deserve punishment for apostasy.
