🔥 PEREZ! BREAK OUT! — BREAK FORTH AND ENLARGE 🔥
Yesterday, the Bansi District of The Church of Pentecost gathered for a powerful All Night Service dubbed “PEREZ! BREAK OUT!”, under the theme “Break Forth and Enlarge.”
The Word was delivered by Ovr. Samuel Abedi Asare, drawing inspiration from four significant passages: Genesis 38:28–30, 1 Chronicles 4:9–10, Psalm 126 and Isaiah 54:2–5.
🔥 GENESIS 38:28–30 — PEREZ: THE BREAKER FORTH
The story of Perez became the prophetic foundation for the night. While Zerah appeared to have gained the advantage by putting out his hand first, Perez suddenly broke forth and came out ahead.
Perez represents the grace to break through what appears to be ahead of you, break out of limitations and emerge into what God has ordained for you.
His birth reminds us that what looks delayed, blocked or impossible does not mean it has been cancelled. There can be a sudden divine intervention that causes a person to break forth beyond expectations.
The cry of the night was therefore clear:
“I will not remain behind. I will break forth!”
🔥 1 CHRONICLES 4:9–10 — JABEZ: FROM LIMITATION TO ENLARGEMENT
Jabez was introduced as a man whose beginning was marked by pain. His very name carried the memory of sorrow. Yet Jabez refused to allow the circumstances surrounding his beginning to determine the outcome of his life.
He cried to God:
“Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory…”
His prayer teaches us that enlargement begins with a recognition that God is the source of our expansion.
Jabez did not merely ask God to change his circumstances; he asked God to enlarge his territory, keep His hand upon him and preserve him from evil.
The lesson is powerful: your history does not have to become your destiny.
There are people whose lives have been surrounded by limitations, pain, disappointment and closed doors, but God can still enlarge their territory.
The prayer of Jabez became our prayer:
“Lord, enlarge me. Expand my influence. Increase my capacity. Take me beyond where I have been.”
🔥 PSALM 126 — FROM CAPTIVITY TO RESTORATION
Psalm 126 speaks of a people whom God brought back from captivity. Their restoration was so remarkable that they described it as being like a dream.
“When the LORD brought back the captivity of Zion, we were like those who dream.”
This passage reminds us that God is able to turn seasons of captivity into seasons of celebration.
Those who once sowed in tears would reap with joy. Their tears were not wasted; their sowing was preparing them for a harvest.
Psalm 126 therefore speaks to anyone who has experienced a season of waiting, weeping, disappointment or apparent delay.
The message is:
Your tears are not the end of your story. Your season can change. God can restore what was lost and cause your mouth to be filled with laughter again.
We came believing that God was turning our weeping into rejoicing, captivity into restoration and prayer into testimony.
🔥 ISAIAH 54:2–5 — ENLARGE THE PLACE OF YOUR TENT
Isaiah gives perhaps the clearest picture of enlargement:
“Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; do not spare; lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes.”
Before the enlargement became visible, the people were instructed to prepare for it.
This is a powerful spiritual principle: you must make room for what you are believing God to bring into your life.
God was telling His people not to think small because of their past. They were to stretch their tents, lengthen their cords and strengthen their stakes because greater things were coming.
The passage also speaks of shame being removed and fruitfulness replacing barrenness.
The God who restores is also the God who enlarges.
Therefore, “Break Forth and Enlarge” is not merely a theme; it is a call to move beyond limitations, increase our capacity, strengthen our foundations and prepare for what God is about to do.
🔥 THE MESSAGE OF THE NIGHT
From Perez, we learned to BREAK OUT.
From Jabez, we learned to ASK FOR ENLARGEMENT.
From Psalm 126, we learned to TRUST GOD FOR RESTORATION.
From Isaiah 54, we learned to MAKE ROOM FOR EXPANSION.
The All Night was therefore more than a gathering. It was a declaration of faith that God is able to cause His people to break forth, enlarge their territory, restore their fortunes and step into a new season.
PEREZ! BREAK OUT!
BREAK FORTH!
ENLARGE!
MAKE ROOM!
