Meningitis does not spread through the air like smoke, but it spreads through close contact.

🔄 Mode of transmission Meningitis can spread through:
• Coughing or sneezing
• Kissing
• Sharing cups, water bottles, or utensils
• Living in crowded or poorly ventilated spaces

👥 Who is most at risk? • Children under five years
• Adolescents and young adults
• Elderly persons
• People living in overcrowded conditions
• Individuals with weakened immune systems

🇬🇭 Why this matters in Ghana.
Ghana lies within Africa’s meningitis belt, where outbreaks occur more often, especially during the dry and dusty season.

I recently came across a post from a friend—an excerpt from a book titled Nobody Cares. The chapter was titled "Mindset". As I read through, I found the writer’s tone quite harsh and blunt, almost as if he had a personal issue with people who expect others to look out for them. It seemed to stem from personal experience.

Reflecting on this, I realized how profoundly our experiences shape us. The things we go through influence our perspectives and, to a large extent, form the foundation of our beliefs. However, it is essential to remember that the world does not revolve around one person’s experiences alone. Since experiences differ, beliefs and perspectives will naturally vary.

Therefore, we must be careful not to judge life solely through the lens of our personal journey. Instead, we should acknowledge and appreciate the diversity of experiences that shape others’ views.

As 1 Corinthians 13:12 (NIV) reminds us:
"For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known."

This verse highlights the reality that no single person has the full picture. Our perspectives are limited, so we must remain open to learning and understanding the world beyond our own experiences.
