31ST CROSSOVER SERMON
Preacher: Rev. Seth Atukumah
Topic: Do Not Yield Your Quality Time to Satan
Introduction
The year 2025 has been very eventful. We witnessed national disasters, accidents, and many fatalities. Yet, in the midst of it all, God has been faithful and good to us. We have crossed over not by our strength, but by His mercy and grace.
This crossover moment is not just about entering a new year; it is about reflection, accountability, and readiness.
Opening Hymn
Hymn 365 (Old)
Scriptural Reference
Exodus 6:6–8
God hears the cries of the children of Israel in bo***ge and promises deliverance from the wicked Pharaoh. Though they were in the wilderness, God reassured them of His covenant, His power, and His plan.
Key Lessons from the Sermon
1. Accountability Is Vital
Accountability is important in every group and organization, and even more crucial in the Christian life.
As believers, we must constantly assess our walk with Christ.
We cannot deceive God.
We cannot deceive ourselves.
God sees our hearts, motives, and actions.
2. Life Is Moving Toward Accountability
Just as day and night exist, our lives are steadily moving closer to the grave.
After death comes accountability for our stewardship—how we lived, served, gave, and obeyed God.
3. Salvation Is a Matter of a Moment
Salvation can happen in a moment, but that moment must not be missed.
Do not yield your quality time to Satan.
Do not allow the enemy to push you out of God’s presence.
Delayed obedience is dangerous.
4. The Importance of Fellowship
It is dangerous to forsake the assembly of believers.
Church attendance is key to spiritual growth.
Fellowship strengthens faith and accountability.
Isolation makes believers vulnerable to the enemy.
Self-Examination Questions
Are you being faithful to God?
Are you ready to give an account of your stewardship?
If God calls you today, are you prepared?
You do not know when God will call you.
Therefore, be ready at all times.
Final Charge
Do not allow Satan to steal your prayer life, worship time, church attendance, or devotion to God.
Your time with God is sacred; guard it jealously.
Declaration from the Bible
“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”
— Psalm 91:1
