NEW YEAR MESSAGE TO THE YOUTH OF THE CATHOLIC DIOCESE OF KETA-AKATSI

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ; our beloved youth of the Catholic Diocese of Keta-Akatsi,

Happy New Year! As we step into this new season of Grace, we thank God for His Blessings, growth, and resilience that we witnessed together last year. Together, we achieved a lot to the Glory of God, but there are others we sadly did not get right. For those, we sincerely apologize.

These accomplishments reflect a living, missionary youth. Thank you for your dedication and for making Christ visible in your various parishes.

Looking ahead, 2026 is full of hope and opportunities. I warmly invite every youth to join the much anticipated *Diocesan Youth Congress* an occasion for heartfelt worship, formation, fellowship, and planning concrete ways to serve our Diocese and society. We will also hold our *Lenten Recollection* to prepare our hearts for Easter through prayer, confession, and spiritual renewal, and many more programs at the Parish and Deanery levels.

Your presence matters. Bring your energy, questions, talents, and friends. Participation not only strengthens your faith but renews our whole Diocesan family. Parents, Parish leaders, and Priests: please encourage and support the youth to attend and to take active roles.

Let us serve together in humility and joy.

May the Holy Spirit guide our plans and inflame our hearts with love for Christ and neighbor. Pray for our programs and leaders.

With hope and blessing for a fruitful year.

CELEBRATING THE MAN, PROMISE MAWUTOR KWAKU AGBANYO

Promise Mawutor Kwaku Agbanyo graduated from Jayee University, an affiliate of the University of Education Winneba Accredited by the GTEC where he studied Business Administration and Leadership and passed out with flying colors.

Promise’s achievement is well earned and deserves to be celebrated as a testament to his remarkable resilience and demonstrated leadership and service to God and mankind.

From humble backgrounds, he served his community with such dedication and wisdom. From very early in life he has served the community in many capacities; as a young boy playing the lead drum for the Gisene Habobor made up of mostly adults; to become Convener of the town and now the Hon. Assembly Member for Adutor Electoral Area, Promise truly served the community in ways too many to list.

Mawutor is a dedicated Catholic who has served the St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church in Adutor, in almost all capacities as a lay person, Rising to the Rank of Parish Councilor and PPC Chairman. His service to the church goes beyond Adutor Catholic and Christian community to the Sogakope Deanery and the whole Keta Akatsi diocese.

Promise is a true servant of God, the church and the community.

More intimately, you are a servant of your family both nuclear and extended. Your wife, children, parents, brothers and sisters and all those who have the privilege and honor to call you son, brother, friend and uncle are truly blessed to have you in their corner.
