From the Children's Ministry to the Youth Ministry, a new chapter has officially begun for 50 teens!
As part of the 2026 National Children's Week Celebration, 50 teens today graduated from the Children's Ministry into the Youth Ministry in a colourful and memorable ceremony.
The ceremony, which took place at the Afransi Central Church Auditorium, was chaired by our District Pastor, Ps. Isaac Baidoo, with graduands from various local assemblies gathering for this special occasion.
Speaking from Luke 2:46–52, Pastor Isaac encouraged the graduands to emulate Jesus, who, at their age, was found in the temple, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and learning. He also used the opportunity to encourage parents and guardians to take good care of their teens and support them to grow into responsible adults.
Pastor Isaac also spoke on the theme of the week celebration "Fully Equipped Children, Unleashed To Reach Child Everywhere". He charged graduands to be agents of transformation EVERYWHERE - schools, homes, communities, playgrounds, etc.
Gracing the occasion was Nana Amissah Abdul-Samed, Asokwa-Hen of Gomoa Afransi, who also doubles as the Chairman of the Parents Association, Gomoa Central District. Nana expressed his appreciation to The Church of Pentecost, Gomoa Afransi District, and advised the graduands to take seriously the lessons and principles taught by the Church. According to him, these would lead them to better places in life.
Lastly, Nana encouraged the teachers to keep up with the good work of grooming future leaders of the Church, Gomoa Afransi, Ghana and the world at large.
These teens were officially handed over to the Youth Ministry by the District Children's Ministry Leader, Deacon Francis Don.
Also present were Mrs. Henrietta Baidoo, wife of the District Pastor; our hardworking Sunday School teachers; parents; and the executives of the District Children's Ministry.
The programme concluded with water baptism, after which everyone departed to their various homes with new spirits and high hopes.
Admin was there too and wished he had enjoyed such a beautiful graduation ceremony during his time. 😄
God bless His Church!
