*LIVE FOR ETERNITY*

*2 CORINTHIANS 5:10-11 (KJV)*
“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.”

*WORD OF WISDOM*
The full force of God's wrath against sin was poured out on Jesus, instead of being poured on us. Christ was identified with us and with our sin so that we might be identified with Him and with His righteousness. For that reason, Jesus was born into the human race so that He could become our Kinsman-Redeemer and pay the price for our sin.

Nevertheless, we will be judged, but not for our sin but on how we lived our lives. Each of us is to receive recompense for the good deeds we carried out, during our sojourn on earth. Good works; works of righteousness which are carried out by our 'new-man in Christ' in submission to the Spirit of God, will be rewarded. However, bad deeds; works of unrighteousness that were undertaken by the old sin nature, will suffer a loss of reward.

We will not be asked to give evidence for one another, but we will be required to stand alone and give an account of how we lived our Christian life; whether for good or ill.

OH, we rejoice that our citizenship is in heaven and that our eternal future is secure in Christ! Nevertheless, God expects all His children to live godly in Christ Jesus so that the deeds we carry out in the body during our sojourn on earth, will glorify our Father Who is in heaven.

Let us keep our eyes on the goal of our calling, and may the life we live in the flesh be lived by faith in the Son of God so that in all things we will be well pleasing in His sight.

*PRAYER*
Heavenly Father, I thank You that I am Your child and that there is nothing that can separate me from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus, but Lord I know that there are many deeds in my life which will have to be judged as bad deeds. I pray Lord that from this day forward I may live my life as unto You. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.

*COME AND DRINK*

*ISAIAH 55:1-2 (KJV)*
“Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.”

*WORD OF WISDOM*
Isaiah prophesied earlier that God's chosen people would reject their Messiah and have to face the wrath of God because of their apostasy. The One Who came to save them would be sent as a Lamb to the slaughter and would stand dumb before His accusers, but despite this necessary chastening, these comforting words promised that God's people would one day enjoy pardon and peace, deliverance and prosperity, revival and restoration, and a glorious future hope.

All are invited to come and partake of the living water of life. All are called to drink deeply of its life-giving properties. All is given as a free gift of God's grace. By grace and through grace, they would be blessed with the living water of life and partake freely of the wine of God's joy. They would be enabled to feed in their heart, by faith, on the milk of God's Word.

The blessings God promised to the remnant of Israel are equally true for us. The call to those that are weary and worn is still being offered today; to men and women, to Jews and Gentiles, to young and old, to whosoever will come. The offer to come and buy wine and milk without money and without cost is just as pertinent today, in the dispensation of grace as it was in the times of Israel.

The Messiah of Israel is also the Saviour of the world and whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life. And although we can partake in this gracious offer here and now, the full and final fulfilment of this blessed prophecy is yet future. When the risen Christ returns to earth to set up His kingdom, at the end of the 'Great Tribulation', thirsty souls will be satisfied and the earth will be filled with the glory of God as Jesus comes to tabernacle amongst His people.

The Lord Jesus Himself testifies to this in the final chapter of Revelation, when He announces: "I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star. The Spirit and the bride say, 'COME!' Let the one who is thirsty come. Let the one who wishes take the water of life come. Come to Jesus, without money, and without cost."

*PRAYER*
Heavenly Father, thank You that I have been baptised into the Body of Christ by the Holy Spirit of God and that in Him, I have free access to the Bread of Life and can drink deeply of the Living Water. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

*WE ARE VICTORIOUS*

*COLOSSIANS 2:15 (KJV)*
“and having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.”

*WORD OF WISDOM*
The crucifixion of our Lord Jesus Christ freed us from the righteous demands of the law by nailing them to the Cross, permanently erasing the un-payable certificate of debt that we owe so that all who believe in Him are no longer under law but under grace.

Christ fulfilled the law on our behalf, not so that we could live lawless lives, but to enable us to obey the Lord in spirit and truth and live godly in Christ Jesus out of love for Him, and not because of slavish fear.

But Christ's sacrifice, which nailed the law to the Cross and broke the power of sin and death in our lives, had a further magnificent consequence. Christ's offering of Himself on Calvary's Cross disarmed Satan and the ungodly principalities of evil. Through death, Christ triumphed over the powers of darkness, the forces of wickedness, and all demonic rulers in the spiritual realm.

The Cross must have appeared to be a huge success to Satan's evil forces, but it was short-lived, for by means of His death, Resurrection, and Ascension, Christ was enabled to proclaim: "Now is the judgment of this world; now will the ruler of this world be cast out."

Christ's sacrificial death, glorious Resurrection, and triumphant Ascension into heavenly places, disarmed the principalities and powers of darkness, destroying the one with power over death and dismantling Satan's armies of all their powers.

And we are called to watch, pray, resist the devil, and keep our eyes on Jesus, knowing that Satan is already a defeated enemy.

*PRAYER*
Heavenly Father, I lift my voice in triumphant praise and joyful thanks for Christ’s victory over sin, Satan, death, and hell. Thank You for setting me free, through the shed blood of the Lamb. What a blessing to know that You have already disarmed the satanic rulers and authorities and triumphed over them, making them a public example. I pray that I may live my life as unto the Lord. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

*MINISTER OF RECONCILIATION*

*2 CORINTHIANS 5:20-21 (KJV)*
“Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”

*WORD OF WISDOM*
The righteousness of a holy God is incompatible with the unrighteousness of sinful man, for there is no merit in man that could cause him to be returned into union with God except the death of a sin-sacrifice - a Kinsman-Redeemer - a perfect Man Who would willingly die to pay the enormous price for sin. This alone would fully satisfy the righteousness of a holy God, and because God loved the world so much, He gave His only begotten Son to pay the enormous price of the accumulated evil of the whole world.

In His gracious-kindness, loving-mercy, and long-suffering: "God was reconciling the world to Himself, not counting our trespasses and sins against us but entrusting all who believe in Him the wonderful message of reconciliation."

Reconciliation with God is a free gift of grace that is open to every man and woman, no matter what the charges against them may be. It is achieved simply by believing on the Lord Jesus Christ; trusting that His efficacious blood is sufficient to satisfy the righteous requirements of God's holy Law on our behalf.

We who believe on His name have been graciously entrusted with the message of reconciliation. As Christians, we have been given an incredible privilege of being God's personal representatives on earth. We have been ordained as ambassadors of God and ministers of reconciliation, which by His grace is being offered to the whole of humanity, through us.

Let us recognise this precious message with which we have been entrusted, and proudly proclaim God's gift of grace to all who will believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.

*PRAYER*
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your gracious-kindness, loving-mercy, and long-suffering toward me and all humanity. Thank You for reconciling the world back to Yourself, through Your only begotten Son. Help me to be a worthy witness of the truth of Your Word and boldly declare the message of reconciliation to all with whom I come in contact. This I pray in Jesus' name, AMEN.

*BORN TO MANIFEST HIS GLORY*

“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:”

*WORD OF WISDOM*
Unlike Israel, we are not a chosen race of earthly people, but a spiritual body of believers that has been called out of every nation and language and people and tribe, to be His holy, heavenly people with a celestial citizenship. And we were set apart by grace through faith in Christ our Saviour, before the foundation of the world.

We were also chosen to be a royal priesthood for our God so that we may sing out the praises of His name to those who are lost in their trespasses and sins. We have been called to share forth the good news of the glorious gospel of grace to a lost and dying world, for God in His omniscience, knew who would accept His gracious offer of salvation, by faith.

As a royal priesthood, we are kings and priests unto God. We have been declared righteous in His sight and because of our union with Christ, all that we say and do should be in keeping with the heavenly privilege bestowed upon us. Our character and conduct should reflect the high calling of God in Christ Jesus, for by His grace and through faith in Him, we have been given access into the throne-room of God. We can stand in the very presence of the Almighty because we are eternally identified with Jesus Christ, the Son of God, Who is God the Son.

Our worship, praise, and thanksgiving, will resound throughout the eternal ages to come because God had graciously called us out of the darkness of sin and death, and a life without Christ, into the glorious light of His holy presence and eternal light and love. Darkness is the domain of those who reject God's offer of salvation. Those who refuse to trust in Christ have condemned themselves into the sphere of eternal separation from their Creator. But we who have trusted in His holy name have been forgiven of sin, made holy and blameless in His sight, and been given all we need for life and godliness, according to His riches in mercy and everlasting love.

How we praise His holy Name, for we who were once dead in our sins and shrouded in the thick blackness of sin, have been called out of darkness into His wonderful light. And now we can proclaim, to all with whom we come in contact, the excellences of our Heavenly Father and the grace of Kinsman Redeemer Who loved us so much that He was prepared to go to the Cross for our sake, so that our sins could be forgiven and we could exhibit the glories of His grace, not only in this world but also in the ages to come.

*PRAYER*
Heavenly Father, thank You that through faith in Christ, I am part of Your chosen generation. Enable me, in the power of the Holy Spirit and in the name of the Lord Jesus, to be a good and faithful witness to You in my earthly walk. May You be glorified and exulted in my life. May I sing forth Your eternal praises in all I say and do, from this day forward and forevermore. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

*JOHN 8:23-24 (KJV)*
“And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world. I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.”

*WORD OF WISDOM*
Christ's kingdom is not on this world system, for this current world lies in the arms of the evil one. Christ's heavenly rule on earth will certainly be set up one day, but first He must smash Satan's rule on earth, topple every worldly government, and demolish all spiritual strongholds on earth. These religious rulers were so biased against the Lord Jesus that they condemned themselves to die in their sins, because they refused to recognise the truth that they were from below, but Christ was from above and had the words of eternal life.

We are all born dead in trespasses and sins, but by faith we are given new life in Christ and made a new creation in Him. However, it is a terrible thing to die in our sins. Those that die in their sins are those that have never trusted Christ for salvation. Those that die in their sins remain part of the old, cursed, condemned creation in Adam. Those that die in their sins never recognise that we are from below and that Jesus Christ is from above. Those that die in the sin are those who refused to recognise the truth.

We are born into this fallen world and are part of a cursed creation. Jesus was born into the human race without the curse of Adam's sin, for He was the eternal Son of God. And when He was born into the human race and became the sacrifice for sin, He became the federal head of a new spiritual creation. It is only by faith in Him that can we be born from above, as His spiritual seed, become part of the new heavenly creation in Christ, and are promised positions in His coming earthly kingdom - when all His enemies will have been placed under His feet.

It is not what we do or how much we know that saves us from our sin, but knowing Christ as Saviour, and trusting what He did on Calvary's Cross that saves us. Those who believe are not condemned and will not die in their sins. Those who believe already have eternal life. However, those that do not believe are condemned already and will die in their sins, because they have not believed in the only begotten Son of God.

*PRAYER*
Heavenly Father, it is wonderful to know that I have been born again into a new creation and can never die in my sins, because Christ took the punishment for me on the Cross, for which I am eternally grateful. But there are many who have not trusted in Christ for the forgiveness of their sin who will die in their sins if they do not hear and believe the good news of the gospel of grace. I pray that Your Holy Spirit would convict and convert many people of their need of Christ for the salvation of their soul, and use me to be a light to point the lost to Him. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

*CITIZENS OF HEAVEN*

*PHILIPPIANS 3:20 (KJV)*
“For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:”

*WORD OF WISDOM*
As believers in Christ, we are citizens of another country and subjects of our glorious King. Our loyalty is to another state and our conversation and delight should reside in heavenly places. We are simply pilgrims passing through this mortal coil, sojourning on earth for a brief life-span, and so we should not be mindful of earthly things that pass away, but we should fix our hearts on the coming king, looking for Jesus, our soon coming Lord. Heavenly citizenship should be a highly prized goal, and integrity should be the outworking of our lives, whether seen by many or executed in the privacy of our own home.

All our discussions and dealings while passing through this life should honour our King, for we are all His representatives and ambassadors of heaven, and all our conversation and conduct should reflect the righteousness of Jesus with which we are clothed and covered.

Our eternal home is a gift from God, but it is only through faith in the spilt blood of Jesus that we have a full assurance of our heavenly inheritance. Our heavenly citizenship does not depend on our qualities, but on His work. Our passage to heaven is not an open way to all, but only to those in Him.

There are no benevolent, extra-terrestrial-beings lurking in the universe waiting to make contact with us as the media-mindset tries to portray, but rather the Church is the only being that is alien to earth, for we are a new creation in Him and our citizenship and conversation is in heaven.

May we be in the world (loving others, working with diligence, and glorifying God in our actions), while not being of the world (caught up in the things of the world). God has set eternity in our hearts and soon our days on this earth will end and we will be in our heavenly home forever. For we are a heavenly people with a heavenly inheritance and a heavenly King. And one day very soon we are going to be with Him.

*PRAYER*
Heavenly Father, what a wonderful privilege it is to be part of Your heavenly family, as one of Your children. Thank You, Father, for all the grace and love that you have poured out on me to give me a heavenly inheritance. I pray that throughout the rest of my life on earth, I may glorify Your holy name in my conversation and conduct. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
