*KNOWLEDGE IS THE KEY*

*2 PETER 1:5-6 (KJV)*
“And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; and to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;”
‭‭
*WORD OF WISDOM*
Our spiritual maturity is not an automatic consequence of our spiritual birth, but requires diligence and discipline on a daily basis so that we become doers of the Word and not hearers only. BUT we are never to forget that our strength is not of ourselves, lest we should boast. Our strength is to be found in Christ alone.

We are to work out our own salvation (our sanctification) through a dedicated study and application of God's Word. We are to die to all that is of self and to live our life for Christ alone. We are to break free from all that comes from the old life that was dead in trespasses, sins, and in bo***ge to Satan, and walk in newness of Christ's indwelling life in spirit and in truth, as we depend totally upon God and are fully equipped by His Holy Spirit.

And so the urgency of Peter's message in his second epistle is that our Christian life, which began at the point of saving faith, must become a growing, developing, and sanctifying faith. This faith matures by means of diligent application of God principles of spiritual growth, which are contained in His Word, and all of which produce spiritual fruit which is so honouring to our Father in heaven.

Having been saved by grace through faith, it is only as we live by grace through faith and earnestly press on to the goal of our high calling in Christ, with diligence, dedication, and discipline, that we are empowered to grow in grace and in moral excellence. And as we pursue the goal of our calling, it is only as we appropriate what is ours in Christ and zealously apply it to our everyday lives that we grow in our knowledge of Christ, becoming self-controlled, patient, godly, gentle, good, and kind, and Christ-like.

*PRAYER*
Heavenly Father, I am so blessed to be saved by grace through faith in Christ. I desire to live godly in Christ Jesus, to grow in grace, and to produce spiritual fruit that is honouring to You. Help me to be diligent and disciplined in my Christian walk, not relying on my own abilities and excellence, but trusting in You and the power of the Holy Spirit. I pray that in His power, I may become the person You desire me to be. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

*ETERNAL INHERITANCE*

*1PETEE 1:4 (KJV)*
“to an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,”
‭‭
*WORD OF WISDOM*
The unsaved man is without God and without hope in the world, but in Christ we have a living hope because our Saviour has breathed His life into our bodies. Our new, born-again, eternal, glorious life is the very life of Christ Himself, and it is all by grace through faith in Him.

But the hope we have from the Lord is not only a living hope for today, but a lasting hope into the ages to come: an everlasting hope that can never fail for it is imperishable, undefiled, secure, enduring, unfading, and inextinguishable, and it is kept for us in heaven, by God's amazing grace.

This eternal security that we have in Christ is not founded on our own merit or good deeds, nor does it depend on our unfailing trust in Him. Our living hope for today and the lasting hope that is kept for us in heaven depends entirely upon the faithfulness of God Himself. Our hope is not based on anything we do but on the unfailing constancy and integrity of our unchanging Father in heaven.

The moment you trusted Christ as Saviour, you were born into a heavenly inheritance that can never fail and is being kept by the power of God in heaven for you. Let us seek to live godly in Christ Jesus. Let us live from the new, born-again life of Christ within, until we can say with Paul: "It is not I that live, but Christ that lives in me."

*PRAYER*
Heavenly Father, thank You that by Your grace through faith in Christ, I have become a partaker of His divine nature. Thank You that when I first believed, I was positioned in Christ in heavenly places, having escaped the corruption of the world and being covered with His righteousness. Thank You for the Word of truth and the many precious promises it contains for me and all believers. May Your will for my life may be carried out to Your praise and glory. In Jesus'Amen.

*SPIRITUAL EYES OPENED*

*EPHESIANS 1:18-19 (KJV)*
“the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,”
‭‭
*WORD OF WISDOM*
All believers have been called by grace, out of darkness and into His glorious light. We have been called by grace, to glory. We have been called, chosen, justified, and glorified, for we are saved by grace through faith in Christ and are become his chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation. We are God's very special possession - His glorious inheritance.

Sometimes familiarly with the glorious superlatives of our heavenly calling, and the eternal hope of glory that is set before us, causes our eyes to become dimmed and our hearts to become complacent. Sometimes the passing enticements of this world seek to blind our eyes to the riches of the glorious inheritance that we have in Christ Jesus our Lord.

It was Paul who rejoiced in the confident hope that we have in Christ Jesus and he longed that others too would come to a real understanding of the incomparable riches of His grace, which is expressed in his kindness towards us in Christ Jesus. And so, Paul prays that the eyes of our heart may be enlightened in order that we may know the hope to which God has called us: the riches of His glorious inheritance in us, His holy, called-out people.

When we really grasp this amazing truth, all we can do is worship and glorify our precious Saviour and occupy our time, redeeming the days as we wait expectantly for His blessed appearing.

*PRAYER*
Heavenly Father, I pray that my heart would be flooded with the marvellous light of the gospel of grace. Help me to understand the confident hope I have in Christ Jesus my Lord. And may I know the riches of my glorious inheritance that is awaiting me and all who trust in Jesus as Saviour. Thank You, Father, in Jesus' name, AMEN.

*PERFECT PEACE BY TRUST*

*ISAIAH 26:3-4 (KJV)*
“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:”
‭‭
*WORD OF WISDOM*
In Isaiah 26, we see the prophet rehearsing a song of trust in the provision of God. He sings of how God will restore Israel, who will once again walk in righteousness and peace. After the coming judgement for their sin, a day will dawn when Israel will be redeemed and restored, and they will walk in the paths of righteousness and be covered with God's blanket of peace, for when the eyes of the heart are focused on the Lord, His perfect peace stills the soul and floods the heart.

And this is equally true of the Church today, for when Christians set their thoughts of their hearts of Christ Jesus, they are flooded with an inner peace, an inexplicable peace, a perfect peace that only comes from above.

In the Psalms, we read that righteousness and peace kiss each other, and the peace for which we all crave only comes as a result of righteousness. When the sinner-man trusts in Christ as Saviour, he is clothed in Christ's righteousness and receives peace with God. When the saved-man, who is clothed in Christ's own righteousness, walks in spirit and truth, he maintains fellowship with the Father and receives the perfect peace of God, which passes our comprehension.

Yes, indeed, God gives the one who trusts in the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour peace with God and He will keep the believer in Christ Jesus covered in His own perfect peace, by giving us the peace of God which transcends human understanding. Let us ensure that the thoughts of our hearts are fixed on the Lord Jesus moment by moment as we take every thought captive to Him, for God has promised to keep in perfect peace all who trust in Him and fasten the eyes of their hearts upon Him.

*PRAYER*
Heavenly Father, I pray that the thoughts of my heart and the meditation of my mind would be centered on You, moment by moment, so that the righteousness and peace of Christ will kiss my life as I walk in spirit and truth, in the power of the Holy Spirit. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

*TRUSTING THE LORD*

*JEREMIAH 17:7-8 (KJV)*
“Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.”
‭‭
*WORD OF WISDOM*
Trusting the Lord is simply believing that the one and only Way God has provided for fallen man to be saved, is through the sacrificial death and glorious Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is having faith in the unchangeable truth that God has opened up for us in the Scriptures, and has revealed to us through His only begotten Son. It is accepting, as an unchangeable fact, that the Life which God imparted to us through the Lord Jesus Christ, will save to the uttermost.

It pleases the very heart of God when His children depend on Him utterly, believe in His Word, and trust in His Son for salvation, for without having faith in Who He is and what He had said, it is impossible to please Him. Without faith we are ships without a rudder that are tossed and adrift on the merciless sea of life, for the one who draws near to God must believe that He exists and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Trusting in God and hoping in the Lord is simply believing the reality of all that He has disclosed to us in His Word. It is accepting as fact all that God has revealed to us in the Bible. It is trusting all that has been revealed in Scripture about our great God and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

It is believing as fact that Christ has gone to prepare a place for us and loves us with an everlasting love. Christian hope is not a vain, fingers-crossed fantasy, and faith in God is not founded on fiction, but on fact. It is seeing with the unclouded eye-of-faith, all God promises as a certain reality, and accepting as actuality the truth of His Word.

Trusting in the Lord and hoping in Him is being certain of the existence of things we cannot see. What glorious joy is realised by the one that trusts implicitly in the Lord and places their eternal hope in Him. Blessed is the man who embraces these two gifts of grace, which abide forever, for faith and hope unlock our understanding of the Father-heart of God's pure love for all His children.

*PRAYER*
Heavenly Father, I realise more and more, the rich blessings that are received by those who trust in Your Word and place their eternal hope in You. Help me to live by faith and not by sight, so that You become increasingly the focus of my heart and joy of my life. Develop in me that child-like trust in You that pleases Your Father-heart of love. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.

*CREATION AWAITS YOUR MANIFESTATION*

*ROMANS 8:18-19 ( KJV)*
“For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
‭‭
*WORD OF WISDOM*
The Church is not the only recipient of God's gift of redemption, nor are we the only part of God's creation that was affected by sin, for the whole of God's creation has been groaning together with labour pains under the weight of sin's curse.

The whole of nature is red in tooth and claw, as thorns and thistles, earthquakes and floods, blistering heat, raging famines, roaring seas, and pestilences in diverse places exemplify the pain and groaning of the creation cursed through sin and waiting in anticipation for its redemption.

Soon, after the Bride has been raptured and God's wrath has been poured out on the world, creation will be redeemed. Creation's groanings will cease and "the wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf, ox, and a young lion will graze together, and a little child will lead them."

Soon, Satan will be bound for a thousand years and the earthly kingdom welcome the Lord Jesus as king, on the throne of His father David.

Soon: "They will not hurt or destroy in all God's holy mountain, for the earth will be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea," and the redeemed of Israel will walk there, and the ransomed of the LORD will return from their exile.

In that day, the lame will leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute will shout for joy. Waters will break forth in the wilderness and streams in the desert.

*PRAYER*
Maranatha! Come, Lord Jesus! AMEN.

*CHRIST IS YOUR LIFE*

*COLOSSIANS 3:2-4 (KJV)*
“Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.”
‭‭
*WORD OF WISDOM*
How important to remember that the old 'me' is dead and that I have been 'born from above' into spiritual union with Christ, and my new life is hidden with Christ in God. How wonderful to realise that Christ is now my life and that in Him I live and move and have my being. How glorious to understand that we who are 'born again' are dead to sin, that the power of sin has been broken in our lives, and that the day is coming when our bodies will be made perfect, for we shall be with Christ Jesus our Lord and see Him as He is.

Although we love our Saviour and are in Him and He is us, we have never yet seen Him as He is. However, the day is coming when Christ, Who is our life, will be revealed and we shall truly see Him as He is and we shall know Him as He is. On that glorious day, all those that are in Christ shall be changed in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump.

The dead in Christ shall rise first, and then those who are still alive and remain on earth shall be caught up together with all the Church age believers into the clouds, to meet the Lord Jesus in the air, and so we shall ever be with the Lord. And on that wonderful day Christ, Who is our life, will be reveal, and then we also will be revealed with Him, in glory.

As the wonderful day of the Rapture of the Church marches ever closer, let us take these words to heart, be those who are longing for his appearing, occupying until He comes, and encouraging each other as we see the day approaching.

*PRAYER*
Heavenly Father, thank You for the blessed hope that is set before all those who trust in Christ Jesus as Saviour. Thank You that Christ is my life, and the day is coming when He will return to take me home to be with Him in heaven. O what a wonderful day that will be when, in my glorified body, I will see my Saviour face to face. Come quickly Lord Jesus! AMEN.

*UNION WITH GOD*

*JOHN 17:22-23 (KJV)*
“And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.”
‭‭
*WORD OF WISDOM*
The glory of Christ in His humanity is the glory that is given to those that have come into union with Christ as Saviour. In this life, we are being conformed into His likeness day by day, as we submit to the leading and guiding of the indwelling Holy Spirit. And one day, we will be exactly like Him, for we shall see Him as He is; in His glorified body, full of grace and truth.

The unity of spirit, soul, and body that Christ (in His humanity) had with His Father in heaven, is His prayer for each of His children too. The supernatural love and intimate communion that Christ (in His humanity) demonstrated and enjoyed with His Father, is the depth of love and fellowship that He desires to have with each of His own.

We are to be deeply in love with our Lord Jesus in principle and in purpose, in thought, word, and deed, just as He was with His own Father when He walked the dusty roads of Israel, for He did only those things that He heard from His Father and His prayer was always, "Your will be done so that You may be glorified."

But not only does He desire a vertical oneness of each of His children with Himself, but He also yearns that we have a horizontal oneness with our brothers and sisters in the Body of Christ; that we become one in principle and purpose, one in thought and word and deed, one in faith and doctrine, one in love and hope. He desires that individually and collectively the Church of God, which is His Body, demonstrates the glory of the indwelling Spirit of Christ by means of an outward demonstration of a holy character and a godly life, full of grace and truth.

*PRAYER*
Heavenly Father, thank You for covering me with Your righteousness and giving me the Holy Spirit to guide me into all truth and to teach me live godly in Christ Jesus. Keep me, I pray, in sweet communion with Yourself. Keep me united in fellowship with the Spirit so that I may be bound together in unity with the body of Christ day by day, in the bond of peace and in godly fellowship. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.

*CALLED INTO SONSHIP*

*GALATIANS 4:6-7 (KJV)*
“And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.”
‭‭
*WORD OF WISDOM*
What incredible assurance to know that we are accepted by God in Christ and made sons through the presence of the indwelling Holy Spirit. He guides us into all truth through His Word and empowers us with His sufficient strength. What amazing love that He should pour out the wrath that we so justly deserve upon His dearly Beloved Son. He was despised, rejected, and cruelly crucified on our account. He died to satisfy God's righteous justice. His blood paid the price for sin so that we who believe, could be elevated into a position of son-ship and be awarded joint heir-ship with Him, by grace through faith.

Though once children of wrath and disobedience, all who have trusted Christ for salvation have been positioned in Him as children of His love. And by His grace, we have been given the additional gift and guarantee of God's indwelling Holy Spirit Who took up permanent residence within our hearts, the moment that we trusted in Christ for salvation.

No name or title for the eternal, Almighty Creator and Sustainer of heaven and earth, could be more profoundly personal nor intensely intimate than that of Abba; dearly loved Father. Such language of sweet endearment is reserved for the closest of unions, and such was the life experience of the Lord Jesus. And He is our pattern for life; He is our example to follow.

Throughout His earthly life, Jesus showed us how to maintain close, adult fellowship with the Father. And throughout our earthly walk, we are to walk as Christ walked and to live as Christ lived, in sweet, mature communion with Abba, our dearly loved Father.

Jesus set aside His glory for a season, and through humble, prayerful obedience, was enlivened, empowered, and animated by the same Holy Spirit Who dwells in us. Throughout His life, Jesus only did what He saw His Father doing and only said what His Father told Him, and we are to pattern our life on His life. Like Him, we will be strengthened and enlivened through His Spirit through the same, humble, prayerful obedience.

It is not trying to copy what Jesus did that gives us this intimacy, but living as Christ lived. It is living in mature, intimate fellowship with the Father. For it is as we maintain spirit to Spirit communion; the human spirit with Christ's Spirit through the guidance of the indwelling Holy Spirit, that our hearts can whisper in steadfast prayer, joyful praise and intimate communion: "Abba, Father."

*PRAYER*
Abba Father, I realise I am standing on the holiest of ground. Thank You for doing such great things for me. I desire to develop the depth of fellowship with You that is demonstrated through the life of Jesus. May I submit in humble obedience to You so that my inner spirit may commune in godly intimacy with Your Holy Spirit. This I ask in Jesus Name Amen.
