Grace doesn’t replace study. Approval comes from diligence.⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️
STUDY TO SHOW YOURSELF APPROVED
STUDY AND BE EAGER AND DO YOUR UTMOST TO PRESENT YOURSELF TO GOD APPROVED, A WORKMAN WHO HAS NO CAUSE TO BE ASHAMED, CORRECTLY ANALYZING AND ACCURATELY DIVIDING (RIGHTLY HANDLING AND SKILLFULLY TEACHING) THE WORD OF TRUTH.
2 TIMOTHY 2:15(AMP)
Apostle Paul urged Timothy his spiritual son to study and do his utmost best to present himself to God as a preacher who will not be a disgrace. Reading and understanding what apostle Paul wrote means that, without diligent studies, one can be a pastor but won't be able to rightly explain the word of God and that will lead to his shame.
That instruction goes to everyone in every field of life. You being a preacher of the gospel, a teacher, a parent, a husband, a wife, etc, have to study to show yourself approved first and most importantly to God and also to men if not, you will bear that title and keep making errors in that office or role until you are disgraced. I CRY FOR THE GRACE TO STUDY.
Apostle Paul before his ex*****on wrote to Timothy again to try and pay him a visit in
with his(Paul's)books an dparchments/papers.
This shows Apostle Paul's dedication to studies. He laid much importance on studies. That was what made Apostle Paul who he was. It was not just the anointing.
In Galatians 1:15-17 apostle went straight to Arabia just after his conversion. Though the reason for his going to Arabia was not completely revealed by him, one could sense that he went to prepare himself for ministry through reflection and studies. I believe this because of his convictions and the way he was able to argue and convince people into Christianity by proving to them right from the old testament that Jesus was the Messiah.
Beloved, no matter the field you are in, I believe you know that without adequate knowledge, you can't go far with your boss. The same applies to our Christian walk with our master. Without thorough studies, we will keep making the same error over and over again, causing ourselves losses we could have easily avoided.
Beloved, don't go a day without adding knowledge to what you already know. Keep learning, unlearning and relearning if you want to keep a closer walk with Jesus and also
How many books did you read last year?
