The Climax of the National Women’s Week Celebration 2026 was a spirit-filled and impactful gathering that reminded women of their divine mandate to transform society through the Gospel and the power of the Holy Spirit. Delivering the message on the theme “Women Unleashed to Transform Society Through the Gospel and the Power of the Holy Spirit,” Dcns Harriet Mireku Onajah encouraged women to rise boldly and fulfill God’s purpose in every area of life.
She explained that the word “unleashed” refers to someone who has been released from bo***ge and set free to operate in purpose and power. She emphasized that God has deposited gifts, wisdom, strength, and influence in every woman to bring transformation to the world around her. However, this transformation must begin from the home. According to the speaker, when women transform their homes through godly living, prayer, wisdom, and love, society itself becomes transformed.
Touching on the Gospel, she described it as the Good News of Jesus Christ — the message of salvation, healing, hope, and eternal life. She further highlighted the Four-Square Gospel which is
1. Jesus Christ the Saviour — John 3:16
2. Jesus Christ the Healer
3. Jesus Christ the Baptizer in the Holy Spirit
4. Jesus Christ the Soon Coming King
The congregation was reminded that women are carriers of the Gospel and must intentionally spread the goodness of Christ everywhere they go. The speaker stressed that the assignment of spreading the Gospel cannot be accomplished through human strength alone, but through the power of the Holy Spirit.
She further explained that the Holy Spirit transforms lives by changing character, bringing healing, empowering believers, and equipping them for service. Women were therefore encouraged to seek a deeper relationship with the Holy Spirit in order to impact their homes, churches, workplaces, and communities effectively.
Mrs. Harriet Mireku Onajah also challenged women not to be afraid of leadership responsibilities. She encouraged women to boldly take up leadership roles wherever God places them and become transformational leaders who influence others positively. Speaking especially to mothers, she urged them to intentionally nurture and guide their children in the ways of God so that they would become agents of positive transformation in society.
In conclusion, the sermon served as a powerful call for women to arise in faith, walk in the power of the Holy Spirit, and become instruments of transformation through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The celebration ended with renewed passion and commitment among women to impact their generation for the Kingdom of God.
