LED BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD

Text: Romans 8:14 (NKJV)
"For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God."

Introduction

One of the greatest marks of a true child of God is not merely attending church or knowing the Bible, but being led by the Holy Spirit. Many people are driven by emotions, fear, money, or the opinions of others. However, God calls His children to live under the direction of the Holy Spirit. A Spirit-led life is a victorious life.

ROLE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN A BELIEVER'S LIFE

1. The Holy Spirit Identifies You as God's Child

Being led by the Spirit is evidence of your relationship with God. The Holy Spirit produces the character of Christ in you and confirms that you belong to Him.

When you surrender your life to Christ, the Holy Spirit begins to guide, teach, and transform you.

2. The Holy Spirit Gives Divine Direction

God never intended His children to walk through life confused. The Holy Spirit leads us in making decisions, avoiding danger, and fulfilling God's purpose.

Whenever God leads, He also provides wisdom, peace, and clarity.

3. The Holy Spirit Leads Us into Holiness

The Spirit never leads us into sin but always into righteousness. A Spirit-led believer grows in obedience and desires to please God.

The fruit of the Spirit becomes evident in the life of anyone who continually follows His leading.

4. The Holy Spirit Gives Power to Overcome

The Christian life cannot be lived by human strength alone. The Holy Spirit empowers believers to overcome temptation, fear, and every attack of the enemy.

Those who depend on the Holy Spirit walk in victory because God fights on their behalf.

Conclusion

Romans 8:14 reminds us that God's children are recognized by their willingness to follow the Holy Spirit. The question is not whether God is speaking, but whether we are listening. As we submit to His guidance, He leads us into purpose, holiness, peace, and victory.

DELILAH CAN'T STOP IT FROM GROWING

Main Text: Judges 16:22

"However, the hair of his head began to grow again after it had been shaved."

Introduction

Samson was chosen by God and empowered with supernatural strength. Through compromise and Delilah's deception, he lost his strength, freedom, and dignity. The Philistines believed they had permanently defeated him after shaving his hair, blinding him, and imprisoning him. Yet Judges 16:22 reveals a powerful truth: "The hair of his head began to grow again." The enemy could frustrate Samson, but he could not stop God's purpose from growing again. Likewise, Satan may delay you, but he cannot destroy God's plan for your life.

3 LESSONS FROM SAMSON'S STORY

1. The Enemy Can Cut You Down, but Cannot Stop God's Purpose

Delilah cut Samson's hair, but she could not stop it from growing. The enemy may attack your ministry, family, health, or finances, but he cannot permanently destroy what God has ordained. What God has planted in your life will rise again.

2. Your Lowest Point Can Become Your Turning Point

Samson lost everything, yet while he was in prison, God was quietly restoring him. Sometimes God does His greatest work in our darkest seasons. Your setback is not your conclusion; it may be the beginning of your restoration.

3. God Restores What the Enemy Tried to Destroy

Samson's growing hair symbolized renewed consecration and returning strength. When we repent and return to God, He restores our spiritual strength, purpose, and hope. The enemy may delay your progress, but he cannot cancel God's calling.

Conclusion

Samson's story reminds us that God always has the final word. Delilah cut his hair, but she could not stop it from growing. The Philistines chained his body, but they could not imprison God's purpose. No matter what has been taken from you, God can restore it. Keep trusting Him, because your strength is returning, your purpose is growing, and your best days are still ahead. The enemy may have frustrated you, but he cannot stop what God has ordained to grow.

MAKING GOD YOUR SHEPHERD

Text: Psalm 23:1-6

Introduction

David boldly declared, "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want." He did not say, "The Lord is a shepherd," but "my Shepherd." This shows a personal relationship with God. A shepherd protects, guides, feeds, and cares for his sheep. The question is: How can God become your Shepherd?

1. Accept Jesus Christ as Your Lord and Saviour (John 10:11)

Jesus is the Good Shepherd. Until you receive Him by faith, you remain outside His flock. Salvation is the first step to enjoying God's guidance and protection.

2. Hear and Obey His Voice (John 10:27)

Sheep follow the shepherd because they recognize his voice. God speaks through His Word, the Holy Spirit, and godly counsel. Obedience keeps us under His care, while disobedience leads us into danger.

3. Trust God Completely (Proverbs 3:5-6)

A sheep depends entirely on its shepherd. Likewise, we must trust God even when we do not understand His plans. Faith invites God's direction and provision.

4. Remain Close to Him Through Prayer and His Word (Psalm 119:105)

A sheep that wanders becomes vulnerable. Stay close to God through daily prayer, Bible study, worship, and fellowship. His presence keeps you safe and strengthens your faith.

5. Live a Holy and Humble Life (Isaiah 57:15)

Pride and sin separate us from God, but humility and repentance keep us near Him. A surrendered life allows the Shepherd to lead without resistance.

Conclusion

When God is your Shepherd, you will experience His provision, guidance, protection, peace, and eternal hope. He will lead you through green pastures, walk with you in the darkest valleys, prepare a table before your enemies, and bring you safely into His eternal presence.

Today, decide to let Jesus become your Shepherd. Follow Him faithfully, trust Him completely, and remain close to Him every day.

THE LANGUAGE OF GRATITUDE II

Text: 1 Thessalonians 5:18 – “In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”

Thanksgiving is one of the greatest expressions of faith. It is not based on circumstances but on our confidence that God is good, faithful, and in control. A thankful believer focuses on God's faithfulness rather than life's challenges. Throughout Scripture, those who learned to thank God experienced His presence, favor, and victory.

5 IMPORTANCE OF THANKSGIVING

1. Thanksgiving Honors God (Psalm 50:23)

Every act of thanksgiving glorifies God. When we thank Him, we acknowledge that every good thing comes from Him. Gratitude gives God the honor He deserves and reflects a heart that trusts Him.

2. Thanksgiving Invites God's Presence (Psalm 100:4)

The Bible teaches us to enter God's presence with thanksgiving. Gratitude draws us closer to Him, creating an atmosphere where His peace, joy, and power are experienced.

3. Thanksgiving Strengthens Our Faith

When we thank God before seeing the answer, we demonstrate faith in His promises. Thanksgiving shifts our focus from problems to God's ability, filling our hearts with peace instead of anxiety.

4. Thanksgiving Brings Victory

King Jehoshaphat appointed singers to praise the Lord before the battle. As they gave thanks, God fought for them and defeated their enemies. Thanksgiving is a spiritual weapon that declares confidence in God's power.

5. Thanksgiving Leads to Greater Blessings

Out of the ten lepers Jesus healed, only one returned to give thanks. That grateful man received not only healing but complete restoration. Gratitude positions us to receive even more from God.

Conclusion

Thanksgiving should not be reserved for special occasions; it should become a part of our daily lifestyle. No matter your situation, choose to thank God. A grateful heart honors Him, strengthens your faith, invites His presence, and prepares you for greater blessings. As you cultivate a lifestyle of thanksgiving, you will continually witness God's goodness and faithfulness in your life.
