*TOPIC: BE CALM BEFORE THE LORD*
*Text: Psalm 46:10* – _“Be still, and know that I am God”_
*Theme: Calmness is not weakness. It’s trust.*
*1. Calm means ‘Cease Striving’*
_Hebrew “raphah” = let go, release your grip_
- *Exodus 14:14* – _“The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.”_
*Note*: Stop fighting in your own strength. Let God fight for you.
- *Mark 4:39* – _“Peace, be still.”_
*Note*: Jesus calms storms with His word. He can calm yours too.
- *Philippians 4:6* – _“Be anxious for nothing, but by prayer...”_
*Note*: Exchange worry for prayer.
*2. Calm comes from Knowing God*
_Not just knowing about Him, but relationship_
- *Matthew 11:28* – _“Come to Me... and I will give you rest.”_
*Note*: Rest is found in His presence, not in solutions.
- *Isaiah 26:3* – _“Perfect peace to him whose mind is stayed on You.”_
*Note*: Your focus determines your peace level.
- *John 10:27* – _“My sheep hear My voice...”_
*Note*: Calm hearts can hear God clearly.
*3. Calm is a Weapon*
_Stillness positions you for God’s strategy_
- *2 Chronicles 20:17* – _“You will not need to fight... stand still.”_
*Note*: Sometimes your obedience is to wait, not act.
- *Proverbs 3:5-6* – _“Trust in the Lord... He shall direct your paths.”_
*Note*: Calm trust invites God’s direction.
*Closing Charge: Psalm 37:7*
_“Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him.”_
*Application*: Name what’s stealing your calm. Give it to God this week.
*PRAYER POINTS*
1. *Lord, I release every burden*: I cease striving and surrender my battles to You. Fight for me.
2. *Father, restore my peace*: Let my mind be stayed on You. Remove anxiety and fear in Jesus’ name.
3. *God, speak to me*: Give me ears to hear Your voice and grace to wait on Your timing.
