For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

As we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, let's reflect on God's love and gift of salvation. Jesus came to bring hope, joy, and redemption.

Submit to God but resist the Devil. That is the twofold action we must take in our spiritual warfare. On the one hand, there is utter surrender; on the other hand, there is stern unyielding resistance. In any army, and so also in God's army, a good soldier must submit to his commander but fight tenaciously against the enemy.

It’s much easier to sleep in the dark than in the light. But the light of Christ does so much more than just wake us from our slumber. He wakes us from the spiritual slumber of death. In the light of Jesus, we are led to consciousness, alertness, and life. So let us live for him by embracing the light, that we might remain alert in the glow of his light.

My God, it is you whom we look to for the grace to strengthen and encourage our spirit, even in the midst of the pressures and trials of life. Your grace is a powerful, undeserved favour that transforms us. If we could sum up the teaching of the New Testament in one word, that word would surely be "grace." Let us, then, ever seek it and rely on it. Amen.

For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say. Luke 12:12
Sometimes, we are terrified to speak to large groups or even get into conversations about difficult or important matters. We’re afraid of embarrassing ourselves or being misunderstood. But we have the assurance that where God calls us to speak, whether to multitudes or one-on-one, He doesn’t leave us unequipped. When we seek His wisdom, He provides us the words we need when we need them by the power of His Spirit.

Ephesians 4:22-24
To put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.

1 Chronicles 28:20
“David also said to Solomon his son, “Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you until all the work for the service of the temple of the Lord is finished.”

Psalm 28:7
"The LORD is my strength and my shield; in him, my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him." Lord, we are most grateful for how far you have brought us.

For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: 1 Peter 3:18
Have you been treated unfairly? Have you ever been treated unjustly because of your faith? If so, take heart! The Bible reminds us that as Christians we will be persecuted. It also reminds us that Christ also suffered unjustly. He did not simply suffer – he died for our sins. He did this so that we might come to know God. Yet, in the death of his human flesh, he was still triumphant! When we suffer because of our faith, may we be reminded of Christ, who suffered infinitely more than we ever will in order to draw people to God.

Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows. (Luke12:6-7)
There are many worries in our lives. Yet, God has made things very simple: He has promised to take care of all our worries, and we only have to worry about one thing: His Kingdom. If that is our number one priority, nothing can stop us, and nothing can distract us, because God has taken care of the rest.
