THE OIL HONOURS AND ATTRACTS

October 07, 2026

1 Samuel 10:4
“They will greet you and offer you two loaves of bread, which they will give you.”

After Samuel anointed Saul, he gave him specific signs that would confirm that God was leading him.

One of those signs was an encounter with men who would honour him and provide for him.

This is significant: the oil had changed something about Saul’s journey.

Beloved, the oil does not merely empower; it can also attract the right relationships, recognition and resources required for the assignment. Selah

There are things God has ordained for your journey that you cannot manufacture by human effort.

But when God’s hand is upon you, the right people can recognize you, the right doors can open and the right provision can locate you. Selah

I pray that the oil upon your life will attract divine helpers and may people who are connected to your purpose recognise you.

May doors of opportunity open, and may resources required for your next assignment come into your hands.

May honour locate you where you have been overlooked and may favour speak for you where you cannot speak for yourself.

May divine connections find you, and may God cause people to release what is needed for your journey.

The oil is upon you and it will honour you, attract what heaven has ordained for you and reposition you for the assignment ahead.

Holiness is not an optional part of our walk with Christ; it is a responsibility that comes with belonging to Him. This is why we must never shun or underestimate its importance in our Christian journey.

The Gospel that saves us is also the Gospel that calls us to be set apart for God. Because God is holy and we belong to Him, our lives must reflect His holiness.

As Scripture reminds us, “For I am the Lord your God. You must consecrate yourselves and be holy, because I am holy.” — Leviticus 11:44 (NLT)

To embrace the Gospel fully is to embrace the call to holiness.

A gospel that only tells people what God will give them but never tells them how God expects them to live is an incomplete gospel.

A gospel that speaks of salvation but never speaks of sanctification, obedience, mission, sacrifice, and accountability has separated privilege from responsibility.

It is the sacred responsibility of the teaching priest to pray for the church and to teach what is good and right.

We have been saved from hell and also saved for holiness.

If we are not ready to walk in holiness, then we are not ready to embrace the full Gospel.

Discipline in the church serves as a guide to uphold the call to holiness from God. We cannot afford to live anyhow.

As heralds of the Gospel, we are to preach Christ, and as ambassadors of the Gospel, we must represent Christ and His interests.

We make it our targeted objective to please God and work towards it.
