For years, I've watched obituary posters fade on walls, get soaked in rain, or simply disappear taking with them the faces and stories of our ancestors.
I knew these posters deserved more. They are not just funeral announcements. They are historical records. They carry names, photographs, family ties, and community roots that genealogists and future generations desperately need.
My dream: build a digital archive where these posters could live forever. But the cost of hiring developers and building a platform from scratch was far beyond my reach.
With the help of Base44 , I built AsaaseHeritage, Ghana's first digital obituary archive, dedicated to honouring the lives of our ancestors and supporting genealogical research for generations to come.
AsaaseHeritage allows anyone to:
✔ Upload obituary posters to a searchable digital archive
Search records by name, region, or year of death
✓ Browse and preserve family history for free
What once felt impossible is now live and it's because tools like Base44 are making sure that dreams don't stay dreams.
If you have an obituary poster sitting at home or fading on a wall upload it. Preserve it. Let it live on.
AsaaseHeritage will soon go live.
