50 Years of Women's Ordination
Dora Ofori Owusu was consecrated as a deaconess of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana in 1964. Due to her distinguished service, she was seconded to the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) as a fraternal minister. She made history in 1976 as the first woman to be commissioned as a minister of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana.
