Elections are always a time of reflection. They make us think about the future, the choices we make, and the outcomes we desire—not just for our countries but for our personal lives too.

What if we took this moment as a cue to reevaluate where we are and commit to starting afresh? What if we used this time to set a bold vision for our lives and decided that, come the next four years, our stories will be different—better, brighter, and more fulfilling?

Here’s the challenge:
1. Take stock of where you are today. Be honest about what’s working and what isn’t.
2. Identify the dreams you’ve put on hold or the goals you’ve been too scared to chase.
3. Make a commitment to yourself: to put in the work, stay focused, and consistently move toward the life you envision.

Four years might seem far away, but it’s not. The time will pass anyway. The question is, how will you use it?

Will you invest in learning, growing, and taking risks? Will you build stronger habits and deepen relationships? Will you make the tough decisions now so you can enjoy the rewards later?

I don't know about you but some times I just don't feel it. I don't feel the passion, the urgency to get work done and the joy of pursuing my dreams. Sometimes, I just feel bland and simply demotivated.

In those times, I feel so alone especially when everyone else looks up to you. In those moments, I pray, watch some motivational videos and try to motivate and energize myself.

The pursuit of our dreams, goals and aspirations can be daunting indeed and sometimes we are simply not in the mood to get anything done. In those moments, acknowledge how you feel and figure out a way not to let that feeling linger on for too long.

Your success depends on you and without your energy, you waste time that you can never get back. Take a walk, talk to a friend, watch videos, listen to music, pray, read a book... whatever you decide to do, get it done fast and get back on that horse my friend.

We need you to find your mojo and get your best work done everyday. You've got this, even when you don't feel like it!!!

To my emerging or aspiring consultants...

In my career as a Business & Career Growth Consultant, sometimes I am faced with problems that I may not immediately be able to solve but I have applied 3 strategies that have worked for me so far.

1. To know just enough about the subject not to sound ignorant & lost.
2. To take on the challenge, do my research and deliver expected results and
3. To have a reliable network - know someone I can call who can deliver results so we get the deal and share the proceeds.

In this age of information, where almost everything is accessible online, all you need is to be confident, enhance your knowledge and build your network so you always remain resourceful.

Don’t be quick to say no to opportunities just because they seem unfamiliar. If it’s something you can learn or delegate, be bold and say yes. Then, find a way to make it work.

Remember, every consulting gig is a chance to learn, broaden your expertise and grow. Don’t let opportunities (or money) slip away easily!

Do you like your boss?

Statistically, 75% of workers who voluntarily leave their jobs do so because of their bosses. This alarming figure highlights an important reality for companies: leadership plays a crucial role in employee retention and overall productivity.

Many individuals are promoted to managerial roles based on their ability to achieve results. While results-driven leaders can drive business success, they often lack the people management skills necessary to build strong relationships with their teams. This is a missed opportunity for companies because when employees dislike their bosses, it negatively impacts workplace morale and can lead to high turnover.

In my career as a business consultant, I’ve observed that when team members don’t like their bosses, they are more likely to either leave the company or, at best, become less engaged and productive. On the other hand, when employees genuinely like and respect their supervisors, it leads to numerous benefits for the company, including increased productivity, better communication, and stronger team cohesion.

Companies that invest in leadership development, ensuring that managers not only excel at driving results but also at fostering positive relationships, are more likely to retain talent and maintain high levels of productivity. It’s not enough for leaders to be good at their jobs; they must also be good with people.
