YOU ARE THE HEIR OF THE WORLD

*_Romans 4:13‭-‬14 For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith. ‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬14 For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:_*

By the virtue of your new birth you have been made the heir of the world. What a life! Why should we lack anything if the world is ours? We ought to take possession of what has already been given to us in Christ.

In Christ Jesus, the world belongs to you. God made a promise to Abraham and to his seed to be the heirs of the world. And it was given to him through the righteousness of faith. It wasn’t according to the law.

How could it be? Abraham lived about 430 years before the law was given. God gave that promise to Abraham on the basis of grace. Thus we can only take dominion as heirs of the world by grace through faith. We are not heirs of the world because of any good that we did. It is purely based on the righteousness of faith. If we try to walk as heirs of the world by law keeping and human works, we will forfeit the grace that has been given to us freely in Christ Jesus.

The word *_“heir”_* in the Greek is *_“kleronomos”_* which means inheritor, possessor or a sharer. It speaks of one who a portion of something have been allotted to. In Christ Jesus, you are an heir of God. You have been called to inherit God’s possessions.

*_1 Peter 3:9 says, “Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.”_* This is beautiful! You have been called to inherit a blessing! You see that you cannot be cursed. Your portion is to inherit a blessing. Hallelujah! What a calling we have in Christ Jesus. We are to bless others because we have been called to inherit a blessing.

All these that I have given to you is the legal side of redemption. Now you have to get into the vital side of redemption, where these things become a living reality in your life. One of the frustrating things as a believer in Christ is to become aware of the realities in Christ and not walking in them vitally. For this reason, you have to learn the principles of scriptures to help you walk in these blessings of redemption.

THE POWER OF INFORMATION

In military, intelligence is everything. There are times other nations have asked America to give them intelligence in their own country. Without intelligence you are crippled; you cannot fight; you are blind. Intelligence tells you the kind of enemy you are dealing with (his strengths, weaknesses etc.) and where he is hiding.

The age we live in is termed *_“The Information Age”_*. The man who will rule this world is the man with the right kind of information. Information is better than billions of dollars. One information can land you into endless supplies. In fact, it is information that produces billions of dollars. Money is just a by-product. Thus seek information and not money, and money will follow you.

In today’s world, companies and individuals spend several dollars just to protect their information. This is the *_“digital age”_*. Information is of great importance. An institution like a bank will be in great trouble if they lose the information of their customers. These people go to great lengths to protect the information that they work with; that’s the power of information.

The kind of life that you will live will be determined by the kind of information that you have access to. And in this kind of world that we live in, no one should cry for lack of information. I believe our problem is the inability to properly harness the information available to us into profitable use.

Information abounds like the water in the ocean. The World Wide Web opened the world to vast information. Today, you can get nearly every information that you want. It is available in greater quantities. And the good news is that, majority are free.

Today, there are sites that you can download free books. You can download thousands of videos on YouTube. What most people in this generation have not done is to take the advantage of the information that is available for us.

The man who does not have information will be crippled in this day and age; he can’t fight well; he will lose too much. Seek information like you will seek gold. Information will not jump on you like a seizure. You have to go for it. Gather information on relevant fields of interest. Be a man of information. Hear and listen as people talk. Read books and listen to relevant tapes of proven men in their field of expertise.

One information in a book can make you a millionaire. And as you seek for information, seek the wisdom of God to turn that information into useful knowledge and profitability.

THE LAW OF CONFESSION

*_Rom 4:17 ¶ (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were._*

We have to strive to get everyone talking faith; and not doubt and unbelief. The subtleness of unbelief and doubt can be very difficult to detect. In our bid to see mighty things happen in our ministry, we have to watch our lips and thinking closely. Our confessions must line up with the word; it must produce optimism and encouragement.

Before God could grant Abraham the promise child, God had to change the confession of Abraham. Abraham was first called Abram which means an *_“exalted father”_*. He was just an exalted father with no influence. Then God gave him a new name, Abraham, which means *_“father of multitude”_*. Now the next time someone asked Abraham, what is your name? His reply was, *_“father of multitude”_*. Wow! What a name. What God actually did was to change Abraham’s confession from an *_“exalted father”_* to *_“father of many nations”_*.

Yet when God changed his name, Abraham had no child from Sarah – the promise child was to come from Sarah and not Hagar. God was teaching Abraham to call those things that are not as though they were. Imagine Sarah calling Abraham, *_“father of many nations”_* food is ready. Probably the neighbors might even think they were going nuts. But that’s the way of faith – it does not make sense to the carnal and natural man. As time went on, Abraham got himself convinced that he was the *_“father of multitude”_* through persistent confession. He was fully persuaded that God will fulfill His promise; the promise child was born and the rest is history.

Today, Abraham is not only the father of the Jews, but all born again believers around the world. Glory to God! Faith always works! You have to start calling yourself what you want to become before you will see it come to pass. But what most folks want to do is see it first before they call it a name. You have to name your miracle first, then, you will see it come to pass. This is the law of confession. Praise God!

CONFORM TO KINGDOM THINKING

*_Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God._*

If you want to change a nation, you would have to change the way the people think. Trying to change a people without considering changing their way of thinking is a complete waste of time. This is why in the western world, all kinds of ungodly concepts are being programmed into their educational system; it is all in a bid to corrupt the minds of the people.

Some people don’t understand why we give our tithes and first fruit offering. They think we are fools who don’t know what to do with money. But they are wrong; it is a way of thinking. We give because of the kind of thinking that the word of God has given to us. We have conformed to kingdom thinking. In the kingdom, givers are winners, while those who withhold are losers.

Withholding your money from God is a way of thinking. Until you change that, you cannot give freely to God. Until your mind is opened, your hand cannot be opened to God. If giving is a struggle to you, you will have to sit down with God’s word and change your mind; sit down with the word and settle it once and for all.

A man is not defeated until he accepts thoughts of defeat. What defeats him is his thoughts and not some devil somewhere. If you refuse defeat in your mind, you will not be defeated.

*_1 John 5:4 says, “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.”_* If you are born of God, you become indestructible. You are a world overcomer. You are to dominate this world. This is dominion thinking!

If you think small your life will be small. If you think big, your life will be big. God’s desire is that you become big in life. When God called Abraham, He spoke greatness to Him. He made a deal with him and said, I will make you great. God painted a picture of greatness to Abraham. He gave him thoughts of greatness; and eventually, Abraham became the thoughts that he received and believed.

If thoughts are not powerful, the devil will not waste his time bombarding your mind with his stupid and foolish thoughts. The devil knows the power of thoughts hence he unleashes his thoughts of fear, anxiety and worry against us. And when you believe his lies, then he can effect the curse in your life.

THE POWER OF A JOYFUL HEART

*_Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy........._*

The word *_“joy”_* in our opening scripture is from the Greek word *_“chara”_* which according to Thayer means joy, gladness, the cause or occasion of joy. Strong defines it as cheerfulness, calm delight, gladness, be exceeding joyful etc. Hallelujah!

Joy is different from happiness. Happiness is as a result something good that has happened to you or some good news you might have received; or a raise at work or business advancement.

Joy is primarily a product of your recreated human spirit, independent of external circumstances. Joy doesn’t depend on outward situations. This is why some one who is in trouble can be excited when there is nothing in the natural that warrants that excitement. Scripture even admonishes us to be joyful in tribulations.

The power of joy is incredible. A merry heart is medicine. *_Proverbs 17:22 says, “A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.”_* A joyful heart is medicine to your body. Depression can lead to all kinds of diseases. Sorrowfulness of heart can cause high blood pressure. But joy is medicine to your body. Resist every form of depression; it is the devil out there to destroy you.

Joy gives a cheerful countenance. *_Proverbs 15:13 says, “A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.”_* Joy in the heart of a man brightens his countenance. Joy is strength. *_Nehemiah 8:10 says “...for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”_* Thus the moment you lose your joy, you are finished. You’ve got to keep your joy no matter what happens.

Joy keeps you going during tribulation times. *_Habakkuk 3:17‭-‬19 says, “Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: Yet I will rejoice in the Lord , I will joy in the God of my salvation._* Praise God!

You can actually draw this joy from the scriptures. As you meditate on God’s word, rejoice over those beautiful promises and the joy in you will come alive. May the joy of the Lord remain strong in you in the name of Jesus Christ.

SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM

*_Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. KJV_*

One great key to prosperity in the kingdom is to seek first the kingdom. Mathew 6:33 is the key that unlocks heaven for you. Seeking the kingdom first is placing the kingdom above every other interests. This means that the kingdom is your first consideration in everything you do.

When someone present anything to you, the first thing that comes to the mind of a kingdom man is to find out what his kingdom's position is concerning that thing.

Some believers have no heart for God nor for His kingdom. They want what God has but don’t want Him. They want to prosper, but they don’t want to make a committed life to serve and follow Jesus. They want what is in God’s hands, but they don’t care about what is on His heart; these are the people that want to use God to meet their needs and cravings.

Know the reason for your prosperity. God did not bless you so that you can become the chief of your village. One of the main reason God prospers you is for the advancement and expansion of His kingdom. You have to make up your mind to be part of what God is doing in His kingdom around the world.

Prosperity begins in your heart first. You have to desire to do big things for God. You have to desire to build church buildings, build radio and television stations for the propagation of the gospel, sponsor the gospel big time, bless men of God, help the poor and needy among us etc. When these things become your focus God will channel resources to you.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR A MOVE OF GOD

God does not move anyhow. Anywhere you see God moving, someone has orchestrated it. The move of God is birthed intentionally through adequate preparation.

And for every level of glory that you want to see, is determined by a certain level of preparation. The higher the glory, the higher the price.

For instance, the preparation that you will do in anticipation of the visitation of your Member of Parliament is not the same you will do if you were told your President is coming to visit you. If you hear that the president of your country is visiting, I believe your preparation will go through the roof.

Now, people want to host God and they think that anything just goes. If you will put in adequate preparation for your President, get to know that Jesus is the King of Kings and Lord of lords – your preparation has to be much more intense.

If you desire to see the move of God in your life or church, your heart must be right, you will need a strong desire, frequent fasting and long prayers stretching over a period of time, and meditation on God’s word. And when the clouds are full, they empty themselves upon the earth.

BUSINESS, SKILL, TALENT, GIFT OR JOB ARE NOT WHAT MAKES RICH

*_Proverbs 10:22 The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it._*

As much as good business ideas, great talents and gifts are good, they are not what makes a man rich and wealthy. There are several people with businesses who are suffering. There are very gifted and skilled people who are languishing in poverty, just barely getting along.

There is more to prosperity than just having a business, job, talent or gift. There are things that you have to know in order to get wealthy in this life. If you don’t know them, it doesn’t matter what thriving business you are into, it will all come to nothing.

What brings wealth is an ability or capacity. This is what produces wealth. Wealth is produced by a mindset. If a man’s mindset is poor, no matter the kind of business that he does, he will square up with his mindset, poverty.

In the school of prosperity, you have to recognize that it is the blessing of God that makes men rich. *_Proverbs 10:22 The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it._* Notice it is not *_“blessings”_* but singular *_“blessing”_*. It is the blessing that produces the blessings.

The blessing is an empowerment from heaven. This empowerment is what makes a man rich. When you connect to that blessing by faith, by putting God’s word to work, it results in prosperity and abundance.

When you got born again, this blessing came upon you. *_Ephesians 1:3 says, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.”_* Notice the word *_“blessed”_* is in the past tense. It implies that it has already happened.

This blessing was what made Obed-edom rich and wealthy. After David’s party was interrupted as they tried to bring the ark to the city of David, he took the ark to the house of Obed-edom. In three months, God blessed the house of Obed-edom till the blessing was evident for all to see. Some fellows took the news to David that, the man Obed-edom has been blessed because of the ark of God. This blessing is what makes the difference in man’s life.

One cardinal benefit of prayer is empowerment. Prayer is a platform for supernatural empowerment. This is one of the reasons why you should pray. Aside getting answers to what we pray for, prayer truly empowers the man who prays.

For many in the church, prayer is just a means of getting something from God. Much more than that, prayer strengthens you on your inside. This strength cannot be gotten any other way apart from prayer.

When Jesus was about to go to the cross, He dreaded the cross. Then in the Garden of Gethsemane, He took three of His disciples with Him to pray. He left the three and went forward and prayed.

Luke gives us a perfect description of what happened when Jesus prayed. He prayed till His sweat was like great drops of blood, falling down to the ground. By the time He was through praying, He was ready to face the cross without any dread.

And He went to the cross and conquered for us all. Without fervent prayer, you can’t walk in the strength of Almighty God. The strength of the Spirit is imparted to you when you pray. May the spirit of prayer come upon you to pray like never before. And as you pray, you will be strengthened by the power of the Spirit. And you will be able to do mighty things and confront your fears and doubts.
