BREAKING NEW GROUNDS

*_Hosea 10:12 Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you._*

A fallow period in agriculture is a time where an agricultural land is allowed to rest was for a while hence the land becomes a “fallow ground”.

But in order to cultivate on that fallow land, you will have to break the ground and prepare it for sowing. This is why the scriptures says, break up your fallow ground for it is time to seek the Lord.

There are new grounds and virgin territories in realm of the spirit waiting to be broken and stepped into.

Breaking new grounds in the spirit requires that you engage in a spiritual exercise that you have never done before.

If you have never prayed for 1 or 3 hour straight personally, you have a new territory waiting for you to break into. The moment you decide to pray for an hour or more and you truly do it, you would have broken that fallow ground.

If you have never fasted for 3 days dry without food, it is new grounds waiting to be broken. If you have never read the entire New Testament or the entire Bible, it is new grounds waiting for you to break.

And in every new grounds awaits new blessings. Until you step into that dimension by doing what it is required, you will never attain those blessings.

And as you break new grounds, you stretch yourself and build up spiritual muscles and increase in weight.

It is time to break up your fallow ground by doing what you have never done before spiritually. And as you seek the Lord, He will rain down righteousness – rain down the power of the Spirit on you. Hallelujah!

FAITH ATTRACTS JESUS

*_Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him._*

Faith is what pleases God. While Jesus walked the face of the earth He wasn’t looking for good works – His focus was faith. Many of the folks Jesus healed were not perfect people – in fact not one of them was perfect. It is amazing! Jesus was busy teaching the word; certain men brought in a man sick of the palsy; Jesus stopped His teaching when He saw faith in action and began ministering to the man.

Throughout the gospels, faith is the only element that was able to stop Jesus in His tracks. Anytime He saw faith He was attracted to it. Of all the people thronging Jesus on that faithful day it was the faith of the woman with the issue of blood that was able to pe*****te that thick crowd and attract Jesus’ attention.

As at this time Jesus was on His way to Jairus house to heal his daughter who was dying. Now here comes a woman who has lost everything but faith. As soon Jesus sensed faith He stopped in His tracks and ministered to the woman. He was not bothered that He was on His way to minister to someone’s dying daughter. It tells you how precious faith is to Jesus.

Jesus’ censors are always around trying to detect one thing – faith. The moment His sensors detects faith His power is released. I don’t believe the people who brought the man sick of the palsy were perfect people – they only had a simple faith that was able to attract the Master’s attention for *_....without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him (Heb 11:6)._*

This scripture implies that without faith it is impossible to get God’s attention; and without His attention nothing works and you are stranded. In order to get God’s attention, you’ve got to give Him faith. Believe the word; act on the word; and speak it by faith and see God move on your behalf.

KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE WORD

*_Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God._*

Keeping your eyes on the word of God is so important for the victorious walk in Christ. If you are going to win in life, you must train yourself to keep your eyes on God's word. The word of God is powerful. God and His word are one; and what ever He says is eternal and it is settled in heaven. Hence you can bet your life on the word and it will never fail. This is one reason why you have to keep your gaze on God's word.

Keeping your eyes on the word means focusing and directing your thoughts on the word of God, and allowing it to govern your entire life. This is not the experience of so many believers around the world because they have not been trained to do so. In order to keep your eyes on the word, you must be trained for it.

It is not something that will come naturally; it comes by training and godly exercise and discipline. The reason is that our world today has become so carnal, and unfortunately, this carnality has crept into the church. Most folks are not word conscious, they have become world conscious. They will rather believe what the doctors, bankers and other experts are telling them than what God is saying.

*_Proverbs 4:20-22 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. 21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. 22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh._*

What an instruction from the Spirit of God; and it comes with benefits and blessings. God is saying to you, attend to my words. He implies give attention to the word and not what your situation is saying. Your situation may be contrary to what God has said; and in the natural you don’t stand a chance; that does not really matter. If you will take your attention away from what man has said, and focus it rather on the word, you will be amazed at the unquestionable results you will come up with.

The more you look at your situation, the more you will sink; look to the word only. It is what God has said that matters. The word has power to deliver to you anything you desire. What you need to do is put pressure on the word and it shall surely, without fail, deliver the desired results.

MOVE YOUR MOUNTAIN

*_Mark 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith._*

A mountain could be any obstacle, disease, financial lack or any thing that causes worry and anxiety. But what ever your mountain is, it can be moved according to scriptures. You have to believe what the Bible says concerning your mountain and not what the experts and the world are saying.

Jesus gives us the reason why mountains don’t move: unbelief. And I believe more than ever, this generation is baptized in unbelief than generations gone by. If you are gong to walk by faith in this age, you will require a lot of discipline and tenacity in the word of God to do so. This generation is so fleshly minded; they believe what the senses tell them than what the word of God tells them.

According to God’s word, mountains don’t move by themselves; they are made to move. If you think your situation will change just with time, you are delusional; you are really in deep sleep. Your situation will not change just simply because you desire and wish for change; it will only change if you add faith to your desire.

Faith is the key to move mountains. Without faith mountains cannot be moved. One time Jesus casted out a devil from a boy; prior to this time, the disciples have tried to cast out the same devil but to no avail. But the same devil was casted out by Jesus. In their perplexity, the disciples asked Jesus why they couldn’t cast out the devil. Jesus did not say that because your prayer was not powerful; He said, because of your unbelief.

Before you pray concerning that situation, make sure your faith is in place. Settle in your heart with the word of God concerning that situation. Then unleash your faith in prayer or declaration of faith, and that mountain will move. And when you release your faith, don’t doubt irrespective of what might happen in the natural. Just know that your faith will win.

It is time to address your mountain. Take God’s word and speak to that mountain to move. Let me assure you that if your faith is working, your mountain will definitely move. No mountain can stand the force of faith.

Elijah on Mount Carmel told the Israelites, how long shall you halt between two opinions? A swinging pendulum is unstable.

While our church was on a long fast and prayers, God showed me a scenario: look at the results of fasting and Prayers. Then look at the results of not praying and fasting. Immediately I knew which results I wanted.

Now it is up to you choose the results that you desire. When you engage in fasting and Prayers, the results are walking in power, speedy healing and good health, revelations from God, increased capacity, breaking bondages and yokes, increased spiritual sensitivity, etc.

On the hand, if you don’t fast and pray, the results are fatigue, dullness of heart, insensitive to the Holy Ghost, spiritual weakness, a candidate for satanic oppression, stagnation, etc.

I do believe you like the results of godly living. A godly lifestyle produces purity in your soul and guarantees peace and joy. An ungodly lifestyle of sin produces death and a life far from the ways of God.

When you think about the results on this two sides of the coin, you will choose godly living that pleases God. Make up your mind to choose good results.

THE MULTIPLYING EFFECT OF THE ANOINTING

David had only a sling and stone when he came out against Goliath. God anointed that sling and stone and it slayed the giant. God anointed Joseph’s ability to interpret dreams to bring him out of prison and made him second in command in the whole land of Egypt.

The anointing plus nothing equals zero. You don’t prosper by the anointing alone. It is the combination of the anointing with your skill, gift or business that brings the prosperity.

The widow of Zarephath had nothing but her last meal. The prophet demanded for it; by faith she gave it to the prophet. Elijah spoke the anointing on the meal and it multiplied for many days till the rains came. A meal that was supposed to last for only a day lasted for many days and fed people.

Sometimes what you may have in your hand may be your last dollar bill. But if you sow it in faith, the anointing can cause it to multiply.

One time a man who came to a city looking for job happened to meet Andrew Wommack and his friend. This man had looked everywhere but no job. When he met Andrew Wommack and the friend, he narrated his story to them and all that he had on him was a quarter (less than a dollar), that he wanted to use it to make a call to his wife to tell her that things didn’t work out well.

Andrew Wommack’s friend took that quarter from the man as seed for a point of contact, something that was very odd – but the man understood the laws of God, that the only way out is to sow a seed. He prayed for the man and he left. In less than 24 hours, here comes the man with a testimony of a miracle job with good pay and a house to live in with his family. Hallelujah!

When you have something that the anointing can come upon it, it brings unprecedented miracles. Submit what you are doing under the influence of the anointing. Learn to connect to an anointed ministry and see the anointing shift you to higher levels, bringing you unimaginable increase.

JESUS CAME TO GIVE US LIFE

*_John 10:10-11 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly._*

This is by far the peak of redemption. Jesus came to give us life; this is life from the dead. In Adam we all died; this is spiritual death. When Adam sinned, death came upon all men not by the effort of any man but because of Adam's sin of disobedience. _*Rom 5:17 says, “For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.”_*

Every man born into this world was born into death. It just happens automatically. In the mind of justice, all men yet unborn died with Adam because of Adam's sin. Hence all unbelievers are living in the realm of death. It does not matter the way an unbeliever may be garnished on the outside; the truth is that, he is a dead man.

*_Ephesians 2:1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;_*

God quickened us who were dead in trespasses and sins. The word 'quickened' in the Greek is "suzoopieo" which means to be made alive together. "Zoopieo" means to give life or make alive. It implies giving life to something that was once dead. While "su" in the Greek means “together”. Hence this speaks of a joint resurrection. We were made alive together with Christ. Just like in Adam we all died, on the same token, in Christ, we were all made alive. We died with and in Christ. And we were made alive in and with Christ. Now the Apostle John declares:

*_1 John 3:14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death._*
The word "passed" in the Greek is "metabaino" which means "change of place". "Meta" means change while "baino" means place. This implies that we've changed our place of death to a place called life; life in Christ.

Now this gives us a different understanding; death is a place while life is also a place; these are realms of living. You cannot live in these two realms at the same time. As a child of God, you may experience death things; it could be death in finances, health or marriage. But that does not mean you are in the realm of death.

The truth is that all believers were born into life but it is just that they do not know how to release or enjoy this life; satan is only playing on their ignorance. This is why you must make it a priority to study the word of God in order to know your rights in Christ. When you get a hold of this truth, you will be able to reduce death to a manageable size.

Death has no more power over us. Death has been abolished; it has been completely paralyzed and annihilated by Jesus. His resurrection was what brought us life. We have been made alive forever in Christ. We are superior to death. We ought to experience life in health, finances, marriage, ministry, etc. Kingdom life is all about enjoying the life of Christ.

YOU ARE SAFE BECAUSE YOU ARE THE BELOVED OF THE LORD

*_Deuteronomy 33:12 And of Benjamin he said, The beloved of the Lord shall dwell in safety by him; and the Lord shall cover him all the day long, and he shall dwell between his shoulders._*

This is the blessing that Moses the man of God proclaimed upon the tribe of Benjamin. What a blessing! I want you to think and mediate on this opening scripture deeply and suck the juice from it. When this revelation dawns on you, you will become fearless.

We live in a fearful world where evil is on the rise everyday. We are faced with terror attacks, pestilence, disease outbreak, accidents, witchcraft activities and a host of other satanic activities. One wonders if the world is safe to live in!

I have good news for you. There is safety in Christ. Christ is your ark against the flood and storms of life. The consciousness of God’s unfailing love will safeguard your life. The opening scripture says, Benjamin is the beloved of the Lord and shall dwell in safety; and the Lord shall cover him all day long, and he shall dwell between His shoulders (a place of power and dominion).

God loves you and that’s for real. You have to believe that. And when you know and believe that God loves you, you will become unshakeable. You will just know that come what may, God will protect you from every evil. You are God’s beloved and for that reason, His mark and seal is upon you.

You are not of the world. Don’t be afraid of the evil prevalent in this world. Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. You are born of God and you have overcome them all. The Lord loves you and you have to know that deeply.

The disciple (John) who so believed in the love of Jesus was the only one who died a natural death among all the apostles. Whatever they did against him to destroy Him did not work; not even the boiling oil could kill him. The love of God kept him alive. Isn’t that interesting? Think about it.

Rest in His love. When you hear of evil, don’t be moved; remind yourself that you are God’s beloved. And for that matter, you shall dwell in safety.

PUT THE WORD IN YOUR MOUTH

*_Mark 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith._*

The word of God is so powerful! By it God created the world and everything that dwells in it. The huge sun and moon and myriads of stars came into being as a result of God’s word. God knew the power of His word hence He did not need any material substance to create anything in the beginning; He just spoke and nature made a giant leap into being. So, we see that the world was created from non-existing material.

God so loved us and gave us His word to help us chart our course in life. Today, we have the scriptures for our advantage. But the word on the pages of the scriptures will do you no good. Don’t be surprised; this is simple truth. That’s why someone can hold the Bible on his chest and will still be having nightmares. The devil is not afraid of the Bible. Even the word in your heart may only do you some good; but when you put it in your mouth and speak it, then there will be power for the miraculous.

You have to meditate on the word on the pages of the Bible till it leaps from the pages into your heart. And now when you speak that Rhema word in faith, demons will begin to tremble. We can create anything we want or desire if we will do exactly what God did in the beginning.

Whatever you desire, whether it be financial increase, marital bliss, prosperous ministry, causing changes in the lives of your family folks, or effecting healing in your body, it all comes down to putting the word of God in your mouth and speaking it to that situation.

Complaining and murmuring will do you no good. Those who complain go in circles and eventually get wasted. Until Ezekiel the prophet began to prophesy in the valley of dry bones, nothing happened. But the moment he started prophesying, bones came together and there was life. You can also give life to every dry bone in your life by simply putting the word of God that has come to you in your mouth, and speaking it forth by faith; then you will see the power of God in demonstration.
