*_Romans 3:27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith._*

My faith has found a resting place…. We sing this song a lot; but I bet you, so many people who sing this song don’t really believe in the lyrics of the song. They claim their faith has found a resting place and yet they don’t believe in the righteousness of faith apart from works – they rather trust in their righteousness. The righteousness of faith is the foundational doctrine on which all other doctrine hinges on. If you don’t get this teaching, your faith is still hanging. It is righteousness without your works and effort; it is simply faith in Jesus Christ for your righteousness

*_1 Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed._*

These same individuals don’t trust in Jesus’ stripes for their healing and health. They would rather run to the doctor and nutritionists for their health problems. They would rather trust exercises and dieting to stay healthy than the communion which is for our health (1 Corinthians 11:29); they will not trust the word of God which is medicine to our flesh (Proverbs 4:22); they will not trust the Holy Ghost who vitalizes our mortal bodies (Romans 8:11).

Where is their faith that has found a resting place? Where is that resting place they claim? Is it on the principles of this world? Is it in the Ten Commandments? Or is it in their self-effort to please God? God have mercy! Our resting place is absolutely Jesus and His finished work. This is where our faith should completely rest. You have to completely trust in Jesus for your righteousness and salvation and healing. He alone has the answers to all life’s problems. My faith has found a resting place, Jesus Christ.

THE GREAT SALVATION!

*_And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance. Genesis 45:7_*

Joseph's brethren sold him into slavery and he found himself in the land of Egypt. Through series of events, Joseph became the second in command in all of Egypt; infact, it was Joseph who was ruling Egypt at that time.

His brethren came to the land to buy corn. And there Joseph made himself known unto them. Through hindsight, Joseph knew that it was God who sent him ahead to preserve the lives of his family and the rest of the world.

If not for Joseph, Israel would have perished with his children. And Joseph told his brethren that, *_And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance (Genesis 45:7)._*

Joseph is a picture of Christ; and the salvation that Jesus brought to us is a great one indeed. What you have as a new creation in Christ, is the biggest thing on earth.

Cherish and celebrate your salvation. To be delivered from hell is no small deal. Don't envy sinners; what you have is the greatest. And the good news is that, right here on earth, you can enjoy this greatness which is embedded in the gospel of Christ.

There is danger in ignoring this great salvation. If you refuse to accept the sacrifice of Jesus, there is no more sacrifice for sins again. The sacrifice of Jesus was one great sacrifice of all time that took care of all sins. If you ignore this great sacrifice, you will have to pay with your life; and that will be life in hell, without God.

Dr. Myles Munroe of blessed memory once said, “The richest place on planet earth is not the gold mines and oil fields, but the cemetery because there you find unfulfilled potentials.” This is so true if you have the right perspective of life. Potentials are more valuable than any material object in this world.

Right there in the cemetery are a lot of folks with unfulfilled dreams. Some discovered it but couldn’t live it; while others did not even know there was something in them that could revolutionize their world. Don’t let this be your case. There are unwritten books inside you – write them; there are messages yet unpreached inside you – preach them; there are business empires in you – build them; there are lives that need to be touched – touch them. This is the declaration of Apostle Paul after a life well lived:

As believers in Christ Jesus we need to be vigilant as in what we allow into our system. It is either you are pouring divinity or carnality into your soul. The reason for many carnal manifestations we see in the church is simply because many of God’s children have not poured divinity into their soul. For many, the word of God is not a priority.

The word of God contains the divine life of God. It is the seed of God. It is also the breath of God. When God breathes into you, life has been poured into your soul. Hence when you open your Bible to study or read, or read an anointed book or listen to an anointed teaching, you are actually pouring divinity and life into your spirit.

*_John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life._*

God and His word are one; and Jesus is the word of God; and in Him is life and deity. Hence as you receive the word, you are pouring deity and divinity into your soul. The end result of this is that you will become full of power and strength; and you will be ready to face any situation and come out successfully. What you pour into your system determines what comes out of you for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. Make it your priority in each day to study the word. Reading this devotional on a daily basis will help pour divinity into you because these words are full of the life of God. Pour divinity into your life today!

THE DANGER OF REJECTING GRACE

*_Romans 5:17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)_*

As you study the word of God, one of the things most people have ignored over the years is the thing that was said that was not actually said. I learned this valid secret from Pastor Chris Oyakhilome one time while listening to one of his tapes. Let me explain. From our opening scripture, if you take a critical look at this scripture, you will see what has been said that was not actually said.

When you receive abundant grace and the gift of righteousness you reign in this life by one Jesus Christ (this is what was actually said). The opposite is true: those who reject grace and the gift of righteousness will be subdued in life with the world where satan is the god of the system – they will be subject to sickness and failures (this is what was said that was not actually said). This is dangerous!

Folks go to hell not because of the individual sins they have committed but simply because they refused to accept the free gift of salvation through grace. As a believer too you can also reject grace; and there are so many of God’s folks who are rejecting grace today. When you hear believers saying things like, you have to be careful about this grace thing; grace is a license to sin; then you know that these folks are not receiving grace.

Don’t receive little grace (that Jesus only forgave your past sins but for the present and future ones you must confess before He will forgive you). Don’t also fall into the trap of self-righteousness where you become self-focused and self-centered. Receive abundant grace and reign in life with Jesus Christ.

KNOWLEDGE IN ADVANCE

*_John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth…… and he will shew you things to come._*

The Holy Ghost is the advantage of the believer over the people of the world. And one of His blessed ministry to the saints in Christ is that, He shows you things to come – this is called “advance knowledge”.

This is the Holy Ghost showing you things about your family, ministry, business or career before they ever happen.

This is foresight knowledge – you know things before they ever happen. This is what King Solomon said about foresight:

*_Proverbs 22:3 A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished._*

Advance knowledge helps you to prepare ahead of time in order for you not to be caught unawares. Things should not be happening in our lives as believers in Christ without we having prior information.

For instance, before God brought the judgment on the earth in the days of Noah, He gave Noah advance knowledge which helped him to prepare and eventually avoided the destruction that came upon the earth. That knowledge saved him and his family.

For you to receive this kind of knowledge from the Holy Ghost, you will have to stay in constant fellowship with Him in prayers, fasting and meditation on the word.

Also, learn to act on the scriptures that’s already written. If you don’t read God’s letter to you in the Bible, why should He give you further instructions?

One knowledge from God can turn your life around and save you from impending destruction. We are not supposed to run into evil and tragedies. We can have advance knowledge to preserve our lives. Hallelujah!

THE PURPOSE OF KINGDOM FINANCIAL PROSPERITY

God prospers you for His pleasure.
*_Psalms 35:27 Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant._*

God prospers you to be a blessing to others.
*_Genesis 12:2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:_*

God Prospers us in order for us to be able to be a blessing to others. You must be the reason that that family do not sleep on an empty stomach. You must be the reason why that young person does not drop out from school.

God propsers you to be a kingdom builder

God prospers you to give you voice in this world for the kingdom

*_[15]Now there was found in it a poor wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city; yet no man remembered that same poor man._*

Our world does not listen to poor folks. A poor person has no voice irrespective of the high level of wisdom he may possess.

THE BLOOD OF JESUS SPEAKS BETTER THINGS

*_Hebrew 12:24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel._*

One mystery about blood is that it speaks. In the book of Genesis 4, we were told a story of how Cain and Abel brought their offerings before the Lord. Abel’s offering was accepted by God because the requirement was a blood sacrifice. Cain’s offering was rejected because he brought just anything to offer to God without blood. Out of hatred for his brother, Cain murdered Abel a righteous man. And Abel’s blood cried out to God for vengeance.

*_Genesis 4:10 And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground._*

Blood has voice. Every innocent blood that has been shed on the face of the earth is crying out for vengeance, including millions of babies that have been aborted all over the world. The good news is that the blood of Jesus on the other hand, speaks forgiveness and mercy. If the blood of Jesus speaks nothing but better things, why is that certain preachers makes it look like it speaks vengeance?

The blood of Jesus is superior to the blood of Abel that speaks vengeance. The blood of Jesus has power to cleanse the chiefest of sinners. It is declaring to you today that you are forgiven; your sins have been fully paid. The blood of Jesus is your redemption price. We are supposed to declare better things that Christ has accomplished for us, for we are persuaded of better things concerning you that accompany salvation. God gave the world a savior and not a judge. Announce the voice of the blood – better things. This is the blood that never loses its power to save to the uttermost. Praise the Lord!

JESUS IS GOD'S ETERNAL SERVANT

*_Exodus 21:5‭-‬6 And if the servant shall plainly say, I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free: Then his master shall bring him unto the judges; he shall also bring him to the door, or unto the door post; and his master shall bore his ear through with an awl; and he shall serve him for ever.‬_*

I know this title may not go down well with some people; but that is simply because they do not know the scriptures nor the power of God and hence they are in error.

Our opening scripture is God's law concerning a Hebrew slave. And according to the law, after the slave has served his master for six years, in the seventh year he is allowed to go free, but not with his wife and children if it is the master who gave him the wife.

But if the slave says, I love my master, my wife and children, thus I don't want to go, then the master takes the slave to judges at the door (you remember the blood of the passover lamb was sprinkled on the doorposts) and his ear will be pierced and he is made a slave forever. *_Isaiah 53:5 says, But He was pierced through for our transgressions….. (NASB)._*

This kind of slave is called a _"bond slave"_, indicating that he is a slave to his master forever out of his own will; this is a slave in love. And this slave is a picture of Jesus. Jesus loved His Father, the church His bride and her children.

And just as the slave is brought to the door to be pierced, Jesus was brought before the great Judge, at the cross, to be pierced for our transgressions, when He shed His precious blood for the remission of our sins.

Apostle John in the book of Revelation saw Jesus in His glorified state as one wearing a linen girdle, something meant for slaves in Bible days. Even Jesus in His highly exalted state is still a Servant, serving His Father and you His eternal bride. No wonder the Father has given Him a name that is above all names. Jesus is Lord! Hallelujah!
