We have the vocal gifts or oral gifts which are:
TONGUES, INTERPRETATION OF TONGUES AND PROPHECY.
Today our main focus is on the vocal gifts.
Now I will take them one after the other
The gift of Tongues is the most common gift, every born again, Holy Ghost filled Christian has, it comes with the receiving of the Holy ghost.This gift is very mighty but often underrated.
He that speaketh unknown tongues speaketh not unto men but unto God.
The person speaking doesn't even understand what he is speaking.
Now you may be praying and be praying amiss, sometimes we are not even sure the Lord hears us when we pray but bible is telling us the moment we begin to speak in tongues we are engaging God directly.
This therefore warrants me to categorically state that tongues is the engine that sparks up communication during prayer and worship.
There are some people who are against the speaking of tongues because they don't understand what they speak, but bible says He that speaketh in tongues, he speaks mysteries, hidden and coded things
Tongues also boost your prayer life and makes you pray longer than you will on a normal day
I move quickly to the interpretation of tongues, this gift is very unique and highly spiritual
The interpretation of tongues is the ability to be able tell us what God is saying within the tongues someone else is speaking or you yourself speaking
Mostly interpretation occurs when someone is prophesying in tongues
In the interpretation reveals to us the mystery of a coded tongue.
Not really much to say about this gift as it function is mainly revealing mysteries
I move on to the gift of prophecy
The gift of prophecy is a widely desired gift and has brought a lot of controversies
Many people believe the moment you operate in the gift of prophecy then you are a prophet
But this is very far from the truth
The gift of prophecy brings to us an inspired word of God
Sometimes you are going through a challenge and someone receives a word and tells you don't wo
