Today's Devotion
Topic: God's Approval Is All That Matters
Text: 2 Samuel 19:10

2 Samuel 19:10
(10)And now this Absalom whom we made king is dead in battle. So what are you waiting for? Why don't you bring the king back?"

2 Samuel 19:10
[10]and Absalom, whom we anointed to rule over us, has died in battle. So why do you say nothing about bringing the king back?”

1)God anointed David as king over His people Israel. David survived unimaginable things when he was a child till............
2) The people also anointed Absalom as king to rule over them, but, he didn't survive even 1/4 of what David survived.

Let us not seek for the approval of men but, rather seek for the approval of God, and He will give us committed men that will stand with us from the beginning to the very end no matter what comes our way.

God's approval works with faith, endurance, appointed time, location and discipline.

God's approval comes with supply, security and protection.

May God help us to know His Yes' and His No's in everthing we involve ourselves in, in the mighty name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

John 3:26-28
[26]And they came to John and said to him, “Rabbi, He who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you have testified—behold, He is baptizing, and all are coming to Him!”
[27]John answered and said, “A man can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from heaven.
[28]You yourselves bear me witness, that I said, ‘I am not the Christ,’ but, ‘I have been sent before Him.’

John didn't Jesus because, he knew why he was sent here.

Two of the many ways to overcome ENVINESS

1) Know your strengths and weaknesses.

2)Approach the person who is stronger in your area of weakness, to help you overcome that weakness.

Most often, we envy people b'cos, they are doing something that we know we can not do.

In the verse 28, John didn't allow the words of his disciples to misdirect his purpose.

If care is not taken, Pride will lead us to follow the voices of our followers, and end up losing focus on our main prize.

Father, deliver us from enviness and pride in the mighty name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

1 Corinthians 13:4-5
[4]Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
[5]It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.

All the above characters in the verses above can be seen in God, because God is Love.
For 1 John 4:16 says....... God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.
Beloved, let's try and manifest 1 Corinthians 13:4-5 in our everyday lives, starting from today. For today is a day of ❤.
May the LORD bless us and keep us in His love and compassion in the mighty name of our Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Amen.

Matthew 25:31-40
[31]“When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory.
[32]All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats.
[33]And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left.
[34]Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
[35]for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in;
[36]I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’
[37]“Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink?
[38]When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You?
[39]Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’
[40]And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’

We are to love our neighbour as ourselves and also, to obey the commandment from our Lord Jesus Christ which to love one another.
The only way people can know we are the disciples of Christ, is to love one another.

Father, please help me not to seek my own but to seek others well being in the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Amen.

John 14:6
[6]Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

We came from God, and we need to be connect with God always.
No matter where we go or how far we have gone, or how lost we think we are, we can still stay connected to God.
For God has given us the SUREST WAY that will always lead us home (To Himself).
Jesus Christ is the way to the Father.
He is the way which leads to life, and it my prayer that, all of us will be amongst the few who finds it.

GOD Is Our Home, And JESUS CHRIST Is Our Only Way Back Home.

Prayers
Father in the name of Jesus Christ, I say not my will, but, Your will be done in every area of my life.
Please take over my life and help me know the right way which is Your Son Jesus Christ.
Spirit of Truth, lead me into all truth and lead me always in everything I do from today in Jesus Christ mighty name I have prayed. Amen
