The Akim Oda Diocesan Guild of The Methodist Church Ghana undertook a charitable visit to the Akwatia and Osenase Orphanage Homes on Saturday, 8th August 2026, as part of its commitment to Christian service, social responsibility, and the demonstration of God's love through practical acts of compassion.

The initiative was designed to support children living in vulnerable circumstances and to contribute to their welfare and educational development.

During the visit, the Guild presented food and stationery items valued at GH¢14,839.00 to the two beneficiary orphanage homes. The items donated included bags of rice, crates of eggs, drinks, boxes of biscuits, packs of sachet water, gallons of oil, tubers of yam, and other essential items. The food items were intended to support the children's nutritional needs, while the stationery items were provided to assist with their educational activities.

Several distinguished dignitaries joined the Akim Oda Diocese to make the donation to the orphanage homes. They included Very Rev. Solomon K. Gyamerah, the Diocesan Chaplain; Rev. Leslie W. K. M. Bedu, Chaplain of the Kade Circuit; Bro. Dr. Francis Kofi Arko, Connexional Guild Treasurer; and Bro. Joseph Bondzie, Past Connexional Guild Vice Chairman.

Also present were Bro. Dr. Dominic Kwadwo Anning, Diocesan Chairman; Bro. Innocent Nana Adu Aful, Diocesan Secretary; Sis. Gifty Awuakye, Diocesan Treasurer; Bro. Prince Baah, Diocesan Organizer; and Evangelist Isaac Acheampong, Diocesan Evangelism Coordinator.

Speaking during the presentation, the Diocesan Chaplain, Very Rev. Solomon K. Gyamerah, expressed the Guild's joy in reaching out to the children and encouraged continued support for such charitable causes.

"As a Church and organisation, we are called not only to preach the gospel but to live it out through acts of love and compassion. Today's gesture is a small but sincere expression of God's love for these children," he remarked.

"We may not be able to solve every challenge these children face, but we can walk with them, support them, and remind them that they are not forgotten. This is what true Christian service looks like," he added.

Beyond the material support, the visit created an opportunity for members of the Guild to interact and fellowship with the children and caregivers, offering encouragement, hope, and a sense of belonging. The activity reflected the Guild's commitment to translating Christian values into meaningful community service.

From every corner of the Kumasi Diocese, a call rings clear and true — the 17th Biennial Delegates Conference and Thanksgiving Service draws near!

From Thursday, August 13 to Sunday, August 16, 2026, hearts shall gather as one at Our Lady of Grace SHS to reflect on activities of the past two years.

The official opening happens on Friday, August 14 at 9:00 AM.

We'd love to see all Guilders there!

𝐃𝐮𝐧𝐤𝐰𝐚 𝐂𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐢𝐭 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐬 𝟔𝐭𝐡 𝐁𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐎𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝

Members of the Dunkwa Circuit Guild gathered at the Immanuel Society, Atechem, from July 23 to 26, 2026, for the 6th Biennial Circuit Conference.

The conference brought together Guild members from across the circuit, with the official opening held on Friday evening.

The four-day gathering centered on the theme "Walking in the Word: Equipped for Every Good Work," drawn from 2 Timothy 3:16–17.

The Very Rev. Kobina Appiah, Superintendent Minister for the Dunkwa Circuit, delivered the keynote address and formally declared the conference open.

In his remarks, the Very Rev. Appiah anchored his address in the conference's guiding scripture, urging members to see themselves as vessels prepared and equipped for good works through a life grounded in Scripture.

The occasion drew a number of dignitaries from within the circuit and diocese. The Circuit Chaplain, Rev. Daniel NanaBanyin Aikins, was present at the opening ceremony, alongside the Diocesan Chairman, Bro. Asante Ennin.

Rev. Aikins remained a visible presence throughout the four-day conference, lending his support for a successful event.

Held once every two years, the Biennial Circuit Conference serves as a key moment for the Dunkwa Circuit Guild to renew its spiritual focus, strengthen fellowship among members, and reflect on its mission within the church community as well.

The Nsuta Society of the Tamso Circuit, Tarkwa Diocese of The Methodist Church Ghana, will hold a Post-Commissioning Thanksgiving and Send-Off Service in honour of Rev. Gifty Brandford-Mensah, a Guild member of the Nsuta Society, on Sunday, 2nd August 2026.

The service is set to take place at the Bethel Methodist Chapel, Nsuta, at 8:00 a.m.

Rev. Gifty Brandford-Mensah respectfully invites all to join her and the family in giving thanks to God.

𝗔𝗻𝗮𝗷𝗶 𝗘𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗶𝘁 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗔𝗰𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗕𝗹𝘂𝗲𝘁𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗺

The Anaji Estate Circuit Guild in the Sekondi Diocese has procured a rechargeable Bluetooth speaker to strengthen its evangelism activities across the diocese.

The brand-new equipment, expected to enhance the circuit's outreach efforts, was unveiled during the Circuit Guild's 3rd Biennial Conference held over the weekend at the Mt. Zion Methodist Chapel, Anaji.

Very Rev. Isaac Kwame Ghartey, Diocesan EMR Coordinator for the Sekondi Diocese, commended the gesture and urged members to put the equipment to good use in furthering the Church's mission.

He noted that the Guild occupies a strategic place in the life and mission of the Church, and called on all Guilders to deepen their personal relationship with Christ and rekindle their passion for Him.

The biennial conference, which drew Guild members from across the circuit, also featured a series of activities including praise and worship sessions. They took the opportunity to reflect on the Guild's achievements over the past two years.

Speaking on the significance of the acquisition of the new Bluetooth Speaker, the Diocesan Chairman, Bro. Theophilus Baah-Biney expressed optimism that the speaker would go a long way in supporting open-air crusades, home visitations, and other outreach programmes.

Several dignitaries graced the occasion, including Bro. Theophilus Baah-Biney, Diocesan Chairman; Bro. Josef S. Annan, Connexional Music Director and Immediate Past Sekondi Diocesan Guild Chairman; Bro. Francis Cudjoe, Diocesan Guild Assistant Secretary; and Bro. Dr. Ing. Albert Kwansah Ansah, Anaji Circuit Guild Chairman, among others.
