PRACTISE THE WORD FIRST*

"The former account I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach"*

```Every child of God likes to teach or share the word of God, this is good and nice but if you want the word that you share and preach to have impact, then it is better you start putting the word into practice in your life before you start teaching, preaching or sharing it. This is what Jesus did that helped His life and ministry in our text today, it says "The former account I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach".

Jesus did not begin by teaching, rather He began by doing before He started teaching it. Listen, if you practise the word before you start to preach it, it will give credence to your teaching but if you preach what you are not doing, the word of God may sound nice in the ears of your hearers but it will be valueless in their lives. It is the lifestyle of the word that we live that the Holy Ghost uses to give power to the word that we preach, teach or share. This is the point, good message does not start from the mouth of the preacher, good message starts from the life of the preacher. Do you practise what you preach?

It is dangerous to be teaching what you are not practising, it is sinful to be asking others to do what you are not doing. James 3:1 says "My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment." The word of God will have more impact in the lives of your hearer if you first practic``` *NOTHING IS WRONG WITH YOU IN CHRIST JESUS.*
