TOPIC: THE BLESSING OF FRUITFULNESS
By Rev. Samuel Johnson
“And God blessed them. And God said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it…’” — Genesis 1:28 (AMP)
Beloved, when God spoke those words in Eden, He was not merely giving Adam and Eve a command. He was enacting a covenant. Fruitfulness is not a suggestion; it is a blessing. It is Heaven’s decree over humanity; it is a divine empowerment to bring forth, to expand, and to occupy.
Remember that fruitfulness is not limited to the womb; it flows into the mind, the work of your hands, your ministry, your creativity, and your destiny. When God blesses a man, barrenness becomes impossible. The soil may be dry, but the Word can water it. The night may be long, but morning must come. The command “Be fruitful” still echoes through time, for it is God’s eternal “Yes” over your potential.
The Psalmist echoes that, “You shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season; your leaf also shall not wither; and whatever you do shall prosper.” — Psalm 1:3
The above verse is not poetry; it’s prophecy! When God plants you, no drought can destroy you. The blessing of fruitfulness means you must grow where others wither, you should rise where others fall, and you are blooming even in barren places.
“The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree; he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.” — Psalm 92:12
The palm tree is a unique plant that grows upright, even in the desert. It can bend, but it doesn’t break. It can endure storms and still produce sweetness. I decree this day, so shall you be! You may have gone through your seasons of emptiness, pain, lack, isolation, and dryness, but the anointing of fruitfulness is breaking forth in your life this week.
Think about Abraham for a moment. For decades, he was barren, yet when the voice of God thundered, “I will make you exceedingly fruitful” (Genesis 17:6). Though his body was old, the Word spoken by God was timeless. And remember Joseph, he was thrown into a pit, forgotten in prison, but in Genesis 49:22, his father prophesied, “Joseph is a fruitful bough by a well; his branches run over the wall.” Hear me, child of God, when God blesses you, no wall can contain your influence, and no pit can hold your promise!
Friend, fruitfulness is your divine DNA. Heaven has declared expansion over your life. Your business will blossom. Your ideas will multiply. Your home and marriage will prosper. Your spirit will overflow. This week, as you step out, expect divine productivity, not by human effort, but by divine empowerment.
I command the barren places in your life to hear the voice of Genesis 1:28 — “Be fruitful!”
I command every closed door to hear the command of Heaven — “Multiply!”
May your heart receive it, let your faith activate it, and may your life demonstrate it.
This is your week to walk in The Blessing of Fruitfulness, not by striving, but by being. For when God blesses you, He places His creative power within you.
Selah!
