*Gospel Chapter!*
*Theme: Vanity*
*Text: Ecclesiastes 1:1-3.*
_Vanity simple means things that is of no use, it does not make any good impact or profit to the owner.
And a great philosopher, the son of David in Jerusalem king Solomon said;
The book of Ecclesiastes begins with "All is vanity (Eccl 1:2) and ends with the same declaration (Eccl 12:8).
The book states powerfully and repeatedly that everything is meaningless ("vanity") without a proper focus on God.
What does King Solomon said about Vanity?
He shared the wisdom he had collected thus far in his life. Solomon got to the realization that the nature of his expectations, and Eccl 1:2, he said "Vanity of vanities, says the preacher, vanity of vanities! All is vanity.
Apon all that Solomon acquired, his kingship,knowledge,properties, concubines etc he said all is useless with focus on God.
Now, come to think of this critically and carefully, day in day out we strive hardly to acquire the whole world but we never ask ourselves after your death where are you sending the wealth you acquired on earth?
How many minutes does it take a man to die?
Within a twinkle of an eye, we die like how the wind blows alway the flowers that comes out nice in the morning.
After all this suffering, looting, killing, bribery and corruption when you gain the whole world and died it all becomes useless (vanity).
What shall it profit a man when he gain the whole world and loses his life (Mark 8:36)
This verse is often interpreted as a reminder that material possessions and worldly success are ultimately of no use value if one's spiritual well-being or eternal life is lost. It encourages individual to prioritize matters of the soul and pursuit of righteousness over earthly pursuits.
So therefore it's high time we stop chasing the wind we don't even know its whereabout.
Most people value their husband/wife, children material possessions and worldly success than the work and word of God.
