What does abiding in God's love mean?
To abide in God's love in this sense means to submit fully to His will. It means to accept His correction when needed, “for whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth.” 21 It means to love and serve one another as Jesus has loved and served us.
How do I abide in God?
To abide in Christ daily requires dependence upon the Holy Spirit in which we do three things:
Walk by faith.
Spend focused time.
Engage in intentional actions.

1. To remain stable or fixed in a state a love that abided with him all his days.

To keep His words in us means that His words are our constant guide and monitor. When His word dwells within our spirit, soul, and body, it will shape our thoughts, words, and actions so that we bear fruits.
