We warmly invite you to share in our concert of reflective music offered in aid of the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine. It offers a space for some time of quiet reflection on the tragic events currently taking place on our continent. We are honoured to be joined by Melisa Kogut of Kyiv, now living in Sutton Coldfield, who will perform her country’s national anthem. Tickets are £15, of which the full amount will go to the fund; there are no expenses for this concert. To reserve tickets, call 07941 466 423.

How wonderful to have been back in Church again this evening. We are delighted to be able to introduce an additional two choristers back into the choir from Maundy Thursday onwards, following the latest Government guidelines. This allows for the inclusion of Anglican Chant, and Communion Settings- Darke in F on Thursday and Saturday, and Schubert in G on Easter Morning. See you there!

We are delighted to be celebrating a selection of Services at Emmanuel over the coming weeks. Our Service of Nine Lessons and Carols will be held on Sunday 20th December at 6.30 PM, in addition to December 24th at 4.30 PM and 27th at 6.30 PM. Our Midnight Mass will be held as usual this year, with a selection of carols from the Choir at 11.00 PM. The Services will operate under Covid secure conditions. Tomorrow morning, 18th October, we sing at the Eucharist at 10.00 am (Ireland in C, Cesar Frank's well known Panis Angelicus, Greene's Thou visitest the earth and Hurford's Litany to the Holy Spirit). The boys of the choir sing for the first time, since Lockdown, at 6.30 pm Choral Evensong. The music by Brewer, Harris and Bernard Rose. The Choirs remain socially distanced on a covid safe environment and we work hard to maintain the standard of our tradition of choral music at Emmanuel.

We’re excited to be in the process of collating individual chorister recordings of a much loved Easter hymn- ‘This joyful Eastertide’, composed by Charles Wood. We’d love as many choristers to take part in performing this Easter favourite as possible.
