WHAT IS ALPHA?
The Alpha Course is a short 7 week course open to everyone interested in discovering what Christianity is about. It’s a place where people can come and relax, share thoughts and explore the meaning of life.

WHO IS ALPHA FOR?
The Alpha Course is designed primarily for people who aren’t churchgoers and is open to anyone who would like to attend.

WHY ATTEND THE ALPHA COURSE?
Guests come on the Alpha Course for many different reasons; some want to investigate whether God exist, some have
questions they’d like to discuss and some come for the social aspect of the course. Many guests have never been to church and others may have attended church but feel they have never had a personal understanding of the Christian faith.

HOW ALPHA WORKS
Alpha Courses are based around small groups of about twelve people, led by one or two hosts whose role is to facilitate and encourage. Most evening courses typically lasting two hours.

ALPHA COURSE WEEKLY FORMAT
This Alpha Course will run for 7 weeks on a Tuesday evening, with a few Saturday’s in between. Each week day session begins with a light meal, then a short talk looking at the
different aspects of the Christian Faith each week. This is
followed by a time of discussion, when guests can ask questions and contribute their opinions. There is no charge to attend the Alpha Course.

GENERAL WEEKLY TOPICS:
Who is Jesus? Why did Jesus die? How can we have faith? Why and how do I pray? Why and how should I read the Bible? How does God guide us? How can I resist evil? Who is the Holy Spirit? How and why should I tell others? Does God heal today? What about the church?

Alpha is an opportunity to explore life and the Christian faith in a friendly, open and informal environment. All religious backgrounds, viewpoints, and ages are welcome to join the course. (Under 18's must be accompanied by a responsible adult.)

The Alpha Course will start on Tuesday 28th April, 7:00pm - 9:30pm (10 week course). The course has already started but people are still welcome to join.
