Alhamdullillah, Unity House Community Hub is pleased to announce our annual 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 which will consist of staying at Condover Hall in Shropshire, a residential stay over which will be jam-packed with activities !

Sunnah acts of our Nabi Sayyiduna Muhammad ﷺ on this blessed day of Eid Ul Adha:
1. Eat odd number of dates before Salat tul Eid
2. Perform Ghusl
3. Wear new clothes and scents (attar)
4. Walk to the masjid if possible
5. Recite TAKBEER on the way to Masjid. "Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar. La Ilaaha Illallahu Wallahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar wa Lillahil Hamd"
6. Take a different route on the way to masjid and on the way back home
7. Perform Eid Salah
8. Congratulate on another
9. Recite Dua on the night of Eid

On this blessed day please remember our brothers & sisters in Palestine, Kashmir, Myanmar, Sudan, Yemen and Uyghur Muslims & beyond in your Duas .

🕋 𝗙𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗿𝗮𝗳𝗮𝗵 🕋

The best day of the year!
9th Dhu'l Hijjah 1447/Tuesday 26th May 2026

It is mustahabb (highly recommended) for those who are not pilgrims to fast on this day, since the Prophet ﷺ was asked about fasting on the day of ’Arafah, so he said;
“It expiates the sins (Minor) of the past year and the coming year.”
[Sahih Muslim 1162]

Amongst the rewards for fasting on the day of Arafah is forgiveness of sins, there are many other rewards too, the general rewards related to fasting are also applicable here. It is important to keep in mind that most Hadith that speak of sins being forgiven due to particular acts of piety usually refer to minor sins and not major sins.

The day of Arafah is when the Hajj pilgrims gather at the mountain plain of Arafah praying and supplicating (dua) to their Lord Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى‎ .

It was narrated from ‘Amr ibn al-‘Aas RAA that the Prophet ﷺ said: *The best of du'aa' is du'aa' on the day of 'Arafah, and the best that I and the Prophets before me said is*

*"لا اله الا الله وحده لا شريك له، له الملك وله الحمد، وهو على كل شيء قدير"*
Laa ilaaha ill-Allaah wahdahu la shareeka lah, lahu’l-mulk wa lahu’l-hamd wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadeer'

(There is no god but Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى‎ alone, with no partner or associate; His is the dominion, to Him be praise, and He has power over all things)."
[Tirmidhi 3585]

Try your best to fast on the 9th Dhu'l Hijjah - the day of Arafah and this year it falls tomorrow on Tuesday 26th May 2026.

🕌 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗹 𝗧𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗾 – Important Reminder! 🕋

📅 Starts: Fajr on Tuesday (9 Dhul Hijjah – May 26th 2026)
📅 Ends: Asr on Saturday (13 Dhul Hijjah – May 30th 2026)

This originates from the story of Sayyiduna Ibrahim عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ when they were about to sacrifice their son Sayyiduna Isma'il عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ for the sake of Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى‎ .

During these blessed days, we recite the Takbeer al-Tashreeq after every fardh (obligatory) prayer:

✅ Wājib (obligatory) to recite at least once after each fardh salah
✅ Sunnah to recite it three times or more
✅ If you forget to say it after salah, recite it as soon as you remember
✅ Applies to men and women, whether praying alone or in congregation
✅ Men must say it loudly and women must say it quietly.

🌟 Special Recommendations for the 9th of Dhul Hijjah (Day of Arafah):

It is highly recommended to fast on this day — the Prophet ﷺ said: “Fasting on the Day of Arafah expiates the sins of the previous year and the coming year.” (Muslim)
