What a brilliant Sunday in church. 🙌🏻

Here’s why at New Church we can’t and won’t live without it!

✨ It’s the right thing to do. The Bible says it’s what we should do.
✨ It helps you understand you are part of a much bigger story in this life.
✨It helps give you a sense of purpose and meaning.
✨It gives you hope both now and eternally.
✨It helps you define and articulate what you believe, where you stand, and why.
✨It helps you learn more about God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit and why it matters.
✨It will help you learn about the Bible and how it applies to your life.
✨It will bring blessing into your life.
✨It will help you be rooted and grounded in God, His house, and His people causing you to grow and change in positive ways.
✨It creates stability in your life and family.
✨It will help you learn spiritual discipline.
✨It will encourage and energize you, and help you focus on the right things when looking at the week ahead.
✨It helps you put your faith in action. Faith without works is dead.
✨It will help you examine and rearrange your priorities.
✨It helps take your focus off yourself and places it closer to God and others.
✨It’s an opportunity to have your opinions challenged and questions answered.
✨It a great place to worship and praise the only One who is worthy of all our praise! The songs stay with you throughout the week. You may even wake up to a worship song in your head in the morning!
✨It will open your eyes to all that God is doing around you, in our country, and all over the world.
It will encourage you, inspire you, and help you make wise decisions in your life through the preaching and teaching of God’s Word.
✨It will strengthen your walk with God.
✨It will help you change your perspective about God, others, life, and eternity.
✨It will help you know godly truth from worldly lies.
✨It honors God.
✨It will teach your kids to know and love God and His Church.
✨It lends itself to making a happy marriage.
✨It is an opportunity to create a spiritual and meaningful experience with your kids.
✨It will help your kids grow in Christ and learn about the Bible.
✨It will help create family unity and a special godly bond of love.
✨It sets a good example for your kids to follow.
✨It strengthens your faith when you gather amongst other believers.
✨It helps you look beyond yourself and see the needs of others.
✨It will give you an opportunity to give financially to help those in need.
✨It will give you an opportunity to meet like-minded people and make friends to do life with.
✨It will give you an opportunity to serve others by volunteering in an area that you enjoy or where you can minister to others. These opportunities can help you develop, sharpen or explore your God-given talents, gifts, and abilities.
✨It will help you meet people who can support you when life gets tough. People who can pray for you and walk with you on your journey. You will also have the same opportunity to support others through their life issues.

Thank you Jesus, that we, your Church, are your beloved ❤️ and that you are building your Church!

Join us this Sunday for church and stay afterwards for a free Fellowship Lunch! 🍽️✨

In the Bible, some of the most significant times occurred over shared meals, conversations and quality time spent together.

🧐How often can we pass small, what seem irrelevant details in the Bible by and not capture their significance.

Yesterday Steve brought Part 3 of our series Re-digging the Wells and the story of Rebekah in Genesis 24. 💦 🪏

Abraham, growing old in age, was discussing his desires for a wife for his Son, Isaac, with his servant. ❤️

As the servant set off in pursuit of the wife, having made a promise to fulfill Abraham’s wishes, he prayed to God a specific prayer.

“Then he prayed, “Lord, God of my master Abraham, make me successful today, and show kindness to my master Abraham. See, I am standing beside this spring, and the daughters of the townspeople are coming out to draw water. May it be that when I say to a young woman, ‘Please let down your jar that I may have a drink,’ and she says, ‘Drink, and I’ll water your camels too’—let her be the one you have chosen for your servant Isaac. By this I will know that you have shown kindness to my master.””
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭24‬:‭12‬-‭14‬ ‭NIV‬‬

The small detail we can often skip past is in below ⬇️

“Then the servant left, taking with him ten of his master’s camels loaded with all kinds of good things from his master.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭24‬:‭10‬ ‭NIV‬‬

10 camels! 🐫 🐪🐫🐪🐫🐪🐫🐪🐫🐪
What a huge commitment it was of Rebekah to decide to offer water for those tired camels!

Both Abraham and the servant were so specific in their prayers to God in what they wanted! And God answered before the servant had even finished praying.🙌🏻

God is calling us to re-dig those wells of prayers, of which those gone before us so faithfully and constantly prayed. 🙏

Let us be in encouraged to press deeper in prayer and be specific for what we want to see God do! He is able! 🎉

Can you see the signs of the answers to your prayers coming?
On our New Depths study this evening we have been encouraged by Elijah's faith in 1 Kings 18. Elijah declared the sound of heavy rain before he could see any signs of cloud. He then sent his servant to check for the clouds but he did not see anything. Elijah made him return to look seven times. He did not give up. On the seventh time the sign was seen. As soon as the cloud the size of a man's hand had been spotted he sent the word to King Ahab to begin his journey before the heavy rain stopped him.
If you are praying for something, trust and have great faith that God is answering and keep looking for the signs. Don't give up and don't stop looking for the signs.

We are looking forward to Part 2 of our series🪏 Re-digging the wells 💦 tomorrow morning at 10.45am 🙌🏻
