Notice of work to be carried out at Christ Church week commencing Monday 27 April 2026

We wish to apologise for any inconvenience caused during the essential redecoration work being carried out on the inside of Christ Church.

There will be lorries stopping to drop off equipment from Monday 27 April 2026 when the clean down inside the church will commence before redecoration.

Scaffolding is being erected inside the church on Tuesday 05 May 2026 after which work will commence to paint the ceilings and walls of the church.

During this period, normal Sunday services will continue as usual, but the church will not be open for quiet reflection on weekdays.

Maundy Thursday 2 April
9.00am Holy Communion Christ Church
7.00 for 7.30pm. Maundy Thursday Service Christ Church
- begins with refreshments followed by washing of hands
- sharing in the Lord’s Supper
- stripping of the altars, and vigil

Good Friday 3 April
10.00 to 12.00 Experience Easter Christ Church
- drop in at any time for a reflective journey around the church
- explore the Easter story as it unfolds
- suitable for all ages, families are welcome
- hot cross buns and drinks served afterwards

2.00 to 3.00pm Hour at the Cross: Reflective Service

6.00am Dawn Service Church at Perton
with the Easter fire, renewal of Baptismal Vows, and breakfast!

At Good Shepherd we will be celebrating our 70th anniversary this year. We are planning celebrations for July 5th and 6th.
Full details will follow and will include a barbecue, Songs of Praise and other activities. We have been involved with the local community for 70 years and have baptised many babies and married a lot of happy couples.
