Mother’s Day. A beautiful day. And for some, a really hard one. 💛
Today I want to speak directly to those of you who are missing your mum. Or whose children now live on the other side of life. Or who are simply carrying a quiet ache today that nobody around you quite understands.
You’re not alone. And you’re not doing grief wrong.
I’ve been reflecting on something I wrote — a letter from heaven — and at its heart is this truth: love doesn’t end. It changes shape.
The hugs, the phone calls, the Sunday dinners — those physical expressions may be gone. But the love itself? Undiminished. Unbroken. Still flowing, just in a different direction.
I genuinely believe our loved ones find their way onward — to somewhere I’d simply call heaven — and that they are not lost, not unaware, and not as far away as it sometimes feels. Only a thought separates us. The moment you think of them, you draw them close.
So today, if you’re missing your mum — talk to her. Out loud, in your head, or on paper. Write her a letter. Tell her what you miss, what you’re struggling with, what made you smile this week. It matters more than you know.
And if you sit quietly afterwards and something comes — a thought that doesn’t quite feel like your own, an unexpected wave of warmth, a sudden sense of peace — don’t dismiss it. That might just be her, finding her way back to you in the only way she can right now.
Communication with spirit isn’t always dramatic. More often it’s subtle. A feeling. A memory arriving at just the right moment. Learning to listen in a new way takes time, patience, and real kindness towards yourself.
To every mum whose heart beats in two worlds today — may you feel them near you. 🌸
And to everyone missing their mum — she can hear you. Keep talking. 💛
Happy Mother’s Day, with so much love. ✨
