The highlight of our evening fellowship today:
Speaking the truth is as unpopular today as it was in the time of Jeremiah.
Then they said, "Come and let us devise plans against Jeremiah; for the law shall not perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come and let us attack him with the tongue, and let us not give heed to any of his words." Jeremiah 18:18
You will be hated and persecuted when you are speaking the truth. The world hates the truth.
Most people inside false churches don't want to be told to repent. They will defend their preachers, delivering messages that tickle their itching ears.
You make yourself a target when you preach countercultural messages and refuse to succumb to the ills of modern society in the name of political correctness.
Jesus told us to expect resistance from the world. The system will never accept you the same way they rejected our Lord.
