A time to remember those we love and miss.

Join us at St Luke’s, Whyteleafe, this Sunday, 25 October at 10.30am, for our All Souls Memorial Service.

There will be space to light a candle, remember loved ones by name, pray and reflect together. Whether your loss is recent or many years ago, you are welcome—whatever your beliefs and whether or not you usually come to church.

We are approaching our All Souls memorial service: a space to remember those who have died and to hold one another in love.
When we remember the departed in prayer, we entrust them to the mercy of God, whose love has held them throughout their lives. We do not claim to know exactly what lies beyond death. Our hope rests in the risen Christ: the One who sustains us in life will sustain us through death.

Join us for a special Black History Month event at St Luke’s, Whyteleafe — Remembering the Forgotten.

There’s something for all ages throughout the day!

🎨 In the morning, children and families are invited to our FREE collage workshop, exploring stories through creativity and art.

🍛 At lunchtime, come and enjoy A Taste of the Caribbean together, with delicious Caribbean food. Lunch tickets are £10 and must be booked by 17 October, so please book soon! (If the cost of lunch is a concern, please don’t hesitate to contact the Vicar. We would love everyone to feel welcome and able to join us.)

✈️ In the afternoon, we turn to a remarkable and often overlooked part of British history: the stories of Britain’s Black airmen. Join Kandace Chimbiri in conversation with Linda Duffield from Kenley Revival - History of Kenley Airfield as we remember the people and stories that deserve to be better known.

Join us for Harvest Sunday at St Luke’s! 🍎

We’ll celebrate the gifts of the harvest and remember neighbours who do not have enough to eat. During the service, we’ll collect donations for the local foodbank (Whyteleafe Community Hub). If you’re able to bring something, it will be gratefully received.

This will be a relaxed, joyful service for all generations, with children and adults taking part together. Whether you come to church often or have never visited, you’re very welcome.
