It's our founder, Alison's birthday this month. We always have Birthday week at Kidz Klub and the children have the opportunity to celebrate with her and enjoy a slice of birthday cake. We've not had birthday week for over 2 years now and so we thought we would highlight it this year as we are expanding the work that we do. We work very closely with West Hendon Baptist Church and we have had the amazing opportunity of serving a wonderful group of asylum seekers here in the UK form all around the world.

As a small charity, we don't get big donations but we make every penny count from what we do get. God always blesses us, and we are able to do more than we every expect in a year.

This year for Birthday week, Alison would love it if people thought about donating to The Urban Family as a one off donation to help with the work we are doing with the asylum seekers here in London, and also for the work we are doing with the children in the local community. I just wanted to share that we will be hosting our annual conference at the end of this month. It is open to everyone to come and join. It is going to be a fantastic opportunity to learn how we can engage and support families build their faith in a post-pandemic world, where some may be unwilling to come back in person, and others may have lost their way. We are very grateful to learn today that the application for a grant to the Baptist Insurance Company via West Hendon Baptist Church was agreed today. This grant will help to support our founder Alison as she continues to deliver in-person kidz Klub sessions and online sessions. We are thrilled by the news!

We can't wait for that Friday Feeling!! It's just around the corner now. It's your last chance to enter any of our competitions and to get ready for tomorrow's zoom session!
You will need: a pair of gloves, Chewit sweets, paper plate, marker pen, scissors and a little spot of glue or tape. You will find most of these itesm in the resource bags but you will also have to hunt around the house and find a few bits.. like the gloves.
Make sure you text Alison with your guess as to how many M & M's were in the jar last week... there is something new in the jar this week.
