How lucky are we to have this amazing theatre group return to our church! See below a description of the group and please come to support them as they put on this performance for the benefit of the church and community. We are extremely grateful and feel privileged and honoured to host them in Watford.

Nuworks: theatre made in Australia is an independent theatre company from Melbourne. Artistic Director and principal writer, David Dunn formed the company in 1988. Nuworks’ theatre space at Mills Street Warehouse, in Cheltenham is where we perform on a regular basis while also writing and recording new works. We are a collaborative, inclusive entity, the foundation of our work based in Epic principles and the ideas promulgated by Erwin Piscator and Bertolt Brecht. Nuworks has toured successfully to New Zealand, Japan, Germany, France and the UK. We have performed at the Adelaide Fringe, the Auckland Fringe, the Edinburgh and Buxton Fringes and we regularly tour throughout the UK to critical acclaim.
Nuworks will tour to the UK again in June and July 2026 . We anticipate staging two new Epic productions in Camden, Buxton and Manchester as well as other venues throughout England:
This Machine Kills Fascists….the story of Woody Guthrie, the iconic popular music pioneer and civil rights activist. Original text and music score.
A Punk Opera…..a reimagining of the Brecht/Hauptmann Threepenny Opera set in Thatcher’s Great Britian with the advent of Punk as a social and musical force.
The tour company features nine actors/singers/musicians and two technicians.
