The spirit of Caleb and Joshua.
God had brought His people out of slavery in Egypt but it was harder to get the slave mentality out of the people. Moses sent spies into spy out the land most of them came back with a bad report, but Caleb and Joshua were of a “different spirit”.
It takes no faith to bring back a bad report often it’s dressed up in the clothes of “realism”. A bad report diminishes the potential blessing, amplifies the opposition and weakens our awareness of our ability.
Caleb and Joshua brought a good report; they saw the land as exceedingly good. They were full of positive, faith filled statements and saw things from a spiritual not evidential point of view.
The land God shows you is a “discipline” for your whole life. Vision disciplines you to pay the price of acquisition. God does not change His mind “the gifts and call of God are without repentance”. We enter our land by boldness and courage (Joshua 1:9).
We must establish the habit of bringing a “good report” writing it down, vocalizing it and giving expression to our convictions (Joshua 14:7).
God promised Caleb a land, but He also gave him: delay, giants and conflict – but it was still God’s land for him! At the age of 85 he started to enter his land!!
