We want to mark this centenary and celebrate it together, and we will do so through EC100🎈

This weekend is the opportunity to reunite with your camp family and to see how God is inviting you to pray and partner with Him for camp for the years to come🌱

Our theme for the weekend is – Testify 🗣️

Issachar is an 18-month discipleship and mentoring programme run by the Armed Forces Christian Union (AFCU) designed especially for serving Christians across the military. It’s a journey of spiritual growth, community and leadership built around deepening your faith, strengthening your walk with Jesus, and equipping you to be a confident, resilient Christian witness in the unique context of military life.

The name Issachar echoes the biblical tribe who ‘understood the times and knew what Israel should do’ — men marked by discernment, wisdom and faithful action. This reflects the heart of the programme: to help you not just grow personally, but to become a thoughtful, grounded and impactful Christian leader wherever you serve.

Over the 18 months you’ll be part of a supportive ‘tribe’ of peers, engaging in discipleship teaching, mentoring relationships and practical leadership development — encouraging one another to live out your faith boldly and with purpose in the forces.

More exciting news of baptisms!

'Only eight weeks into their training, 15 recruits were baptised and two confirmed their faith at a Sunday morning church service in the Light Division Chapel. Over one hundred people filled the chapel to witness the service, including their colleagues who voluntarily attended to show support. This is not a one-off event—this year has seen a string of baptismal services at ATR Wi******er, where Lee continues to share the truth of Jesus Christ, without compromise. God is clearly at work.'

Suffering produces perseverance—the grit to keep going when others give up 💪. Perseverance shapes character—a deep, unshakable trust in God 🙏. And character leads to hope—not wishful thinking, but a confident assurance that God is at work, even in the dark 🌌.

As Spurgeon said, “The Lord gets his best soldiers out of the highlands of affliction.”
So if you’re in the thick of it—don’t give up.
