When events occur in our lives that we dislike or cannot explain, we ask God why. Whether it is the loss of a job or a child, or even a diagnosis of illness, our first thought is, 'God, why did this happen to me?' or 'Where did it all go wrong?'
Women of the Most High, this message is a word of encouragement to remind us not to lose hope. No matter how difficult the situation has been or is, God is still at work. Give thanks, praise God, and let Him take charge. We know it isn't easy because we become so focused on the issue that we forget to let go and dwell on God's word in Jer 29:11-14, which says:
"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.
You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile.”
It may look impossible or seem difficult, but let us be reassured today that God has not given up on us. He is holding our hand and walking with us through it all. All we need to do is let go and allow Him to lead us. Shift your focus from challenges or problems to Jesus, our Saviour. There is nothing He cannot do, and He will always grant us His peace.
Therefore, we should remain steadfast in His word, unrelenting in our praise and thanksgiving, even when the answer we desire or the response we hope for does not seem to come. He is working all things together for our good, and He will do everything to give us the love, peace, and joy we deserve. He will never let us go.
Finally, let us trust in Him, believe in Him, and hope in Him, confidently declaring that no matter what, God is on our side.
The song says;
"When peace like a river attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll,
Whatever my lot, Thou hast taught me to say,
It is well, it is well with my soul."
Indeed, it is well with us. You are welcome to a month of dwelling in God's peace.
